samifaceFor LAX, b4nny recommended using this service: http://shuttletolax.com/
An UBER from LAX to the Holiday Inn will run a little over $50 each way, that is not factoring in surge rates. Even split 3 ways thats kinda pricey. Please keep in mind too that in southern California, random traffic happens. It is entirely possible to get stuck for 1.5 hours getting down here from LA.
What is the cost of the Holiday Inn per night (without any special deals for the LAN). On the internet the one in Santa Ana approximately 1.5k away is around £150 (1.2 exchange rate to $180 roughly) for 3 nights over the weekend, booking in advanced. Of course, there are other alternatives, I seen a guest house nearby as well but no website for it, I wonder what the cost of B&B's and other low cost accommodations are locally.
Shuttletolax.com tells me a 6 passenger shuttle would cost approx £80 for a return between 5 or 6 people (Brits may arrive together if we're all booking the dirt cheap Norwegian Air flight from Gatwick to arrive at 16:10 local time, departing LAX around 5.30 and taking approximately 2 hours to get there accounting for traffic). That is around £13.33 each for both ways, not terrible.
I also looked at travelling on the Metro using Metro Trip Planner, whilst it isn't suitable for going to and from the Airport, after the event I want to visit some places, it looks fairly affordable, would people say this is a reliable website for information?
I assume as we're in a built up area lots of places to go including cheap supermarkets.
Will we be able to go to the Scientology Church across the road and mock them?
