#132 Remove Sniper Scope in Customization
CardfightGamerKonceptkiaDoes this still work? I tried it with evehud and it didn't.yes it does work (I haven't seen anything regarding it being patched as of late) but if you're playing in any competitive league you shouldn't use itWait, why? Is it cause they'll get suspicious and possibly ban you from the league for hacking?

Just don't use it.

#26 What's a good mousepad? in Hardware

Is there any difference really between the qck and the limited variant other than the stitches edges and different design on the top of the pad? I'm really considering getting one since my current one is showing a bit of wear and tear.

#82 If TF2 comes to ESL - What would you like to see? in TF2 General Discussion
Re4lityokay, i don't understand. Why would we choose to use this over etf2l if it is exactly the same? + etf2l has active admins who play the game at a high skill level and are easy to contact and etf2l is already established.

This is the exact dilemma that we've had when other companies have tried to introduce something with a similar system to what's already established. Even if there's more potential of growth for another thing, what's been done historically is just stick with what's already in place unless there's a noticeable benefit that we're going to get from the start rather than start at a base of the equivalent of what's in place and expand from there. It's so frustrating to watch it happen but it seems to continue to happen time and time again when a new sponsor approaches us with interest in our game.

#73 If TF2 comes to ESL - What would you like to see? in TF2 General Discussion

I don't exactly remember where this was mentioned, but I remember someone bringing up an idea of offering a free division for new players as a possible incentive to play ESEA (since this announcement hadn't happened at the time) over UGC. I feel like this can be something interesting to experiment with to attract more players in. Including more formats (HL, ultiduo, 4s) as mentioned before.

If ESL does end up choosing to host a TF2 league for EU, NA, and possibly AU, the winlimit rules and map pool may need to be revised to be uniform for all regions, but I think that's one thing that we can discuss ourselves. I'd love for ESL to host a TF2 league and I'm certain we'd all be incredibly happy to work with people for the better of the competitive game.

#142 m0re hud in Customization

If you're having scoreboard issues, try toggling your mat_antialias value.

@SkyH4igh I've had that happen once or twice before myself in a hud that I made with a scoreboard that has no backdrop and sometimes it happens. No clue why, but a combination of a game restart and/or mat_antialias change eventually did the trick

#55 Several gaming organizations drop overwatch in Esports
bleghfarechttp://www.espn.com/esports/story/_/id/20276987/team-liquid-drop-overwatch-team-some-players-stay-org-sources-say

tl;dr Team Liquid expected to drop OW roster (some moving to Quake, AZK moving back to CS), sell Overwatch Contendors spot, and to skip out on the Overwatch League.

funny enough NRG (who has the San Francisco OWL spot) isn't in a much better spot considering that they recently cut numlocked, leaving only harbleu, iddqd, and seamoose their coach as the only residents of their overwatch team currently, so unless they decide to pick up shadder and mesr I feel like they might just release their other 2 guys before OWL kicks off as well.

While this is rather unlikely to happen, I think it'd be sick if liquid would sign runaway (apex s2 runner up team), but unless they don't make it out of the group stages like in season 3 I think liquid may be done with overwatch.

#4 Quakecon 2017 in Off Topic
pie_herohey u forgot about sen good job sen also

Edit: also I realized that quakecon is the weekend before I start my fall classes so I might consider going. My only problem is that it's a 3 hour drive from where I live to where the convention is being held

I love Texas and haven't been to a gaming convention yet but the travel and the timing of it is awful for me

#75 What's your dream job? in Off Topic

For a while I wanted to be an announcer/commentator, but since then I've realized that I don't really have the voice for it.

However, streaming full time and doing eSports writing on the side is certainly something that I think I would really enjoy doing

+1 on rocket league. Once you get past learning the basic fundamentals of how the game works it's actually a blast

quake champions, quake live, and reflex are also nice but personally I'd only play quake live or reflex if the quake champions servers are down.

#148 The Mouse/Mousepad Thread v2 in Hardware
ComangliaAny reason you won't get another death adder? Also most middle click issues with Razer Death Adders can be resolved by disassembling the mouse fully depressing the middle click button (with the tip of a knife, paperclip, etc) and cleaning the area around the button.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eCVvqSpAKQ8

-edit-
I reread your post I had missed that you were having wrist strain issues. Curious about how you hold/move your mouse.

I've used Razer mice for a little over 5 years now, so for me it's more or less wanting to try something different. I also did try out an ec1-a about a year ago and loved the shape, but the buttons just felt far too stiff for my liking, so I ended up returning it. Also seeing that they've updated the model to have left and right clicks not as tight as before and side buttons that didn't feel like they were going to break after any number of button presses. That being said, if another deathadder is the best for me, I'll just get a new one

Also one of the feet near the front of the mouse is wearing off, so I guess I could just take it apart and fix the scroll wheel but I'd certainly need a new set of mouse feet to apply afterwards. I'm thinking hyperglides but I don't know if there are any better options out there that are worth buying.

The wrist strain doesn't occur that often, and it could come down to the fact that I do a decent bit of aiming with my wrist. I know that my grip is a sort of hybrid between palm and fingertip (I say this because I know that my fingers are straight and not arched like in claw, but some of my palm does make contact with the back of my mouse in some spots), but I've never really thought about it too much.

I mean if you really want a mouse that feels big you could try the mionix naos 7000.

Your wrist strains could be due to you using your wrist to much, over your arm whilst gaming, as well as using a sensitivity that's to high. Here's an interesting article on it: http://www.criticalhit.net/gaming/dr-levi-harrison-talks-mouse-sensitivity-gaming-rsi/

I've actually considered getting a naos 7000 before, but I tried some cheap off brand mouse that had a similar shape before and I didn't really like it. It's possible that because it was a brand that wasn't well known that I didn't enjoy the shape but I'll look into it.

As far as the sensitivity goes, I've actually changed my sensitivity about a month ago from 11.5 inches (29.21 cm)/360 down to 10.4 inches (26.416 cm)/360, so I don't really think that my sensitivity is too fast. I do use my wrist for a bit of aiming, but for large movements I move my arm for the extra distance. It doesn't happen very often, and the main reason that I brought it up was the fact that I haven't been the most satisfied with the overall ergonomics of my deathadder ever since i tried the ec1-a.

It's entirely possible that I'm either thinking about it too much or just using bad technique but the whole wrist strain thing doesn't happen that often, maybe once for a day every few months, but since I do a lot of typing for classes and for news articles I should probably do wrist stretches more often. It's entirely possible that the amount of typing that I do is also a factor in my occasional wrist strain.

Vulcanb4nny made a good video on wrist stretches to help reduce wrist strain

I've seen it, and I think I'm going to start doing those more often since I'm doing a lot of typing and gaming
