Played with him a bit. He's really chill and nice dude and did better and better in every game he played with us. I think he's settling into his new setup (meaning he's not getting 15 fps anymore) and deserves a really good team to play with.

Both gek and mason are people that I have deliberately turned down when they offered me scrims and now they will cling with everything they have to try and make that sound as bad as possible. Again, I need to take care of my guys and make sure our time isn't being wasted. If we're having tough scrims at a low level then why would I want to face the airheads roster? Why play wood pig? Waste of time. Having thought back (I actually forgot about this) there was once or twice that I ended up joining a scrim with these guys, not realizing it was them, and we left before it would start, but never in the middle of a scrim. Thing is that these guys deliberately log into irc with random ass names so you don't know that you're getting set up for troll scrims, or at least someone on their team would. It's a safe bet that one or both of these guys were present during that no-whitelist troll scrim and aliased up, or maybe not even aliased. We left that one in the first round to minimize time waste and 10 minutes later I forget that garbage and moved on.

We're supposed to look bad for turning down scrims but don't you come off as assholes by purposely trying to schedule scrims with much weaker teams? You do. You're better off following suit with #37 little boy peanut gallery and just sticking with "u suk!"

I don't think anything about dm other than it's fun and it's a good warmup. I don't make traps or shoot spawns. The maps incorporate chokes that must be navigated to get into mid (some extra awful like gully) so sometimes shooting happens there. Oh well. You know what else is annoying? Soldiers jumping into you the moment your focus is on someone else... Scouts and soldiers spawning behind you... Getting 3v1'd.... The fact that 75% of soldiers in dm now seem to be running gunboats for some reason. Oh well who cares. You respawn immediately and it's still a place to shoot your guns a lot with no consequence. Btw I quite enjoyed that mod that limited you to a 4 sticky clip as it motivated you to stay focused. I wouldn't mind seeing that back.

Well that's not helpful at all. Ask for feedback, get nothing. How am I taking things too seriously? I think most people who know me know that I'm "non-serious" plenty of the time. Gek comes in and basically lies, saying we leave scrims all the time, and gets plus fragged by a mob. I don't think I'm out of line being a bit serious in this thread responding to that and clarifying that it's not true. If I don't say anything then any asshat can just go and say whatever he wants and that becomes the truth. I don't even know mustard at all, zero interaction for years and I barely remember anything before that but maybe he knows something I don't or I guess has some kind of animosity built up. Looks like it will remain a mystery to me.

I'm not insulting anyone on your team. I like everyone as they're all friends and former teammates and the people I'm not close with I respect for being good players and cool guys (Rex, Pey). Rex is in essentially the same position that Screwb was last season. I'm not sure how you don't see that. I guess Screwb carried us but Rex isn't carrying you? We'll have to disagree. I'm not sure how you can't see the hypocrisy here.

Let me ask you this. What did your one-sentence post contribute to this thread? It points out something that either everyone already knew (maybe you're fishing for +frags) or is it trying to address someone who isn't familiar with the situation? Oh you wanted to say that he's a great player and a nice guy? Why didn't you just say that? You could shed some good light on our best player. Or you could say "Good team, Screwb is phenomenal!" if you think we're alright. Instead you chose a very brief statement with rather loaded implications. You are very safely remaining passive aggressive (I can see how this may not be clear to an outside pov). So when I say your pocket carries that's insulting to your whole team, but when you say that about us it's just a fact and isn't insulting to our team?

Would you care to clarify what exactly is questionable? We have almost never left a scrim once it's started. The only times that would happen is if we happen to realize "oh, it's bullet and those guys...", or like the last time I remember: It was closer to the start of this season. We went to some team's server, I don't remember anyone (people alias like it's their job), maybe you were there Gek, and they had no whitelist. They ran a bunch of banned weapons to snake mid, maybe some dumb classes, were almost surely higher level players and smashed us on mid. They fail pushed us on last and I equipped the Loch n Load and killed their scout (back then it still one-shot 125s) and we left. I have, however, over the years, refused scrims a handful of times. To add to that I have personally went to lower skilled teams a few times to play with friends/mentor. If we're a low - mid open team and are having tough games at that level and some top open playoff teams ask us for scrims I'm usually going to refuse. You can be a dick and call us cowards and make a big stink or do whatever you want. It doesn't change the fact that it's a bad use our time. See, I have a responsibility to my team to make sure our time isn't wasted or our morale isn't needlessly upset by playing teams where there's practically nothing to learn. In a way I'm doing your team that favor too, though I suppose if you're picking on low - mid teams then you just want to screw around anyway.

The fighter donger is/was our mascot. He's cute, ready for anything with his dukes up, and is an appropriate response in almost all situations. I think it's funny that "meme" is even a concept. People have been repeating funny/silly/stupid things for as long as there has been civilization. Now "meme" is a meme and people are trying really hard it... Blows my mind. This too shall pass. The server is a tradition. I've never had to expressly explain that the name is a sort of statement to the fact that gaming can be in its own separate little world which is more distant from extreme political correctness that is becoming prevalent everywhere. Absolutely true. Screwb is far and away the best player on the team and I don't think anyone would deny that. He, and the rest of the team actually carried you pretty well too. And now the team you're building is based around Rex pocketing, and he's by far the best player and much pressure is on him to carry. I hope you realize that most of the criticisms posted here also by association involve you. You turned into an entitled, disrespectful punk and the entire team had enough and wanted you out. I didn't, everyone else did, right then and there. And they were right. I'm just the head representative of a tiny democracy. Now you're bitter as all fuck and your main, childish goal in life is to one-up your former team at every possible point. I had forgotten that mentioning the two letters I and M in a looking thread get it minus fragged a good deal. I'm going to give a simple disclaimer now, which to me seems obvious, though perhaps it's actually not. There is not an ounce of arrogance or ego meant by anything that was posted. It doesn't mean "We are totally ready to do great in IM". No one on the team thinks they or we are hot shit. Collectively, right now, we are at best as good as we placed during the season. It's looking like there's a fair chance for the roster to be moved up next season. If that happens we're going to be the punching bag at the bottom for at least a good long while. We're just some folks who enjoy playing challenging video games and are looking for someone who'd be a good fit and feels similarly...

Well, WE NEVER WIPE (aka The Widest Kids U Know) has had a pretty good season. It's been one of the most turbulent seasons I've ever been through with regard to roster turnover and silly drama, which is saying a lot, but overall we're happy with how things have come along and are for the most part going to be sticking together into next season. A big shoutout and thank you to all the players that have played with us this season and helped us get this far. Next season will most likely be ESEA-Open, though I suppose there is a potential possibility of the roster being moved up IM depending on what happens to other playoff teams and IM teams. As it stands right now our old faithful scout Slider, who's been around for about a season and a half will be stepping down to backup due to personal time constraints and so we will be looking for strong, high-open/IM capable scout tryouts to fill the spot.

Things we are looking for, besides strong play and previous experience:

- We scrim and play Sunday to Thursday, 9 - 11ish pm EST. You need to be availble during these days and times.
- Relating to point 1, we don't want you playing in other leagues or formats. For instance, if you're gone on Mondays because UGC HL but the rest of us are here, and we are, that's not good.
- We prefer 18+ age. Exceptions can happen and I've bent this rule a number of times but I've been screwed by it so many times that I'd rather not mess around.

2007, Nine Inch Nails with their Lights in the Sky tour. They ended up coming to Toledo, which was convenient, and I was talked into going. It's not the typical type of music I'm into, I thought NIN was OK, but holy shit it was an audio-visual experience on a level that I was not prepared for and I don't know if I'll ever see anything as immense in my life (though I hope I do).

Basically there's this "lighting rig" that is made up of tons of enormous nets full of lights which are like dynamic screen pixels each. So they can show anything from simple abstract shapes to full on video on these mesh-like screens. Other times they can incorporate other elements, like a touch-visual representation of a drum machine that the drummer sets up before the show or sensors that detect when someone is close to the mesh. Every song had a totally amazing and unique visual feel to it. Best concert ever.

Really friendly, enthusiastic, and positive guy. He's a solid performer too and has a good head on his shoulders. With a bit more experience and a team of likeminded people he could start to play around the high open level consistantly.

edit: Yeah I feel pretty dumb but we couldn't figure this out and people didn't seem too good at explaining it. We had to join off our opponents who did figure it out, and after some prodding it turns out there's a clicky-button. I kept visually searching for an ip address.

I know a bunch of people who cannot use the demoui to start their demos because it crashes every time. What they do is start the demo from console - "playdemo demoname", and then once it starts, bring up the demoui with Shift+F2 and control it like normal.
