#1 Open demoman lf mentor in Mentoring

Hi, I'm Jaguar. I've been playing TF2 since 08 and trying to do comp stuff since probably about 09. I would consider myself a mid+ open level demoman. I am currently in my third season of open and am looking for a mentor demo main, or even any main as long as you're established-IM level or higher, to go over some demos with me from time to time and give me some feedback on my play. I had some great people that I thought could do this with me but they're either too busy or unwilling. Oh well.. life goes on. Thanks in advance.

#21 soldier looking esea s13 in Recruitment (looking for team)

I've played with Tool a little bit and he was great. Very experienced and knowlegable soldier with solid dm. He's a man of few words but his comms are clear when they're needed and he gets shit done. Pick him up.

#19 saltysally, what a guy... in Off Topic

This isn't news, I'm not trying to whore attention, and indeed nobody cares. It's a bit of a shitpost and not every post you see is going to be intellectual gold. Why get bent out of shape? I'm not trolling anyone. Perhaps take your own advice and ignore it. When you type a small paragraph about how you feel your time was wasted you are trolling yourself. The initial post took you 5 seconds to read. It's not as if I wrote some long-ass narative and then it was troll copypasta shit at the end. Nope, this is true stories from the front. It was a fun scrim and I had fun screenshotting and posting a retard continuing to be a retard.

Ohhh... of coooourse it was a joke. No one saw that coming. You can have all 5 of the other people come on here and say that on your behalf and it doesn't make you look like any less of a douche. Apologies about not asking to extend. I lost track of the time and my team asked me to do it with literally 5 seconds on the clock so I did (in the middle of my rollout to mid). I had no time to ask about it. You guys weren't interested and left, and that's fine. At what point did I complain? I only spoke once asking you guys to hold up since our med's game kept crashing repeatedly as people kept entering the server, which happened a lot. As I said that you guys promptly ubered in and capped the point. And it was a fun game despite all of that.

Friendly Monday night scrim. Pie Hero shoots a guy on the other team in the head. Obvious hacks... What a classy guy this "saltysally1".

Wait wait, I can see it now... the all-covering-always-useable-blanket-super-excuse: It was just a joke and he was kidding (He wasn't kidding).

edit: Screenshot you're so small here, iz funny to me: http://i.imgur.com/JQcbU.jpg

#10 Moolkey LFT in Recruitment (looking for team)

Moolkey's a good scout. Strong DM and fun to play with in pug.na. High open or possibly IM worthy.

#4 looking for next season - soldier/scout in Recruitment (looking for team)

One of my favorite soldiers to have on my team in pug.na, particularly on pocket. Nice guy, good calls, smart, kills the shit out of the other team. Definitely IM material. Good luck man.

#111 ESEA-Orang-eXplosion in TF2 General Discussion

I honestly don't know any people that started playing this game because of being exposed to it through ESEA. I know that eXtv played a large part in exposing me to it and getting me into 6s comp play. Also I know other people who got hyped from eXtv, Sal, and even other youtube contributors like Star. Also, ESEA, being the superlative league around here, has benefitted hugely from eXtv helping draw attention to TF2 and getting people signed up. Sure TF2 is still nickels and dimes compared to other games, but without eXtv existing it may already have been gone from ESEA.

This isn't about "greed" money but about being just and properly compensated. Looking at this organization it's clear that they have decent money. Obviously as a business they'll try to get as much for cheap or for free (there's always people in India / China willing to work for pennies on the dollar... understandable, but not quite "fair") but the right thing would be to offer some compensation since they CAN. It's a circular problem. They don't want to put any money into TF2 but expect money in return. eXtv wants to be fairly compensated and professional and in return would provide top notch casting, which makes ESEA look good and potentially grows the scene (a win for ESEA as well).

So here's what I gather from what eXtine has said:

-In the past ESEA has compensated casters and crew (both live at LAN or online)
-eXtv offered to go out there if they were compensated (less money than previous times doing it ONLINE ONLY)
-ESEA rejects offer, and agrees to pay less or nothing at all for an online cast. (Or possibly the same amount.. but why would they not pay less AND have eXtv there live then?)

eXtine wants to stand up to ESEA and motivate them to be more professional and supportive of the community as it would benefit everyone involved.

#12 Scout LFT in Recruitment (looking for team)

Very strong player, particularly on scout and sniper. Can come off as a bit hot-headed and momentarily ragey when he gets killed by a "bullshit lucky pipe" or w/e but he's a nice guy and will go far.

#3 Medic LFT s13 in Recruitment (looking for team)

I've played with Perey a bunch in pug.na and he's a solid medic. He should aim for a mid open team at least, no lower. Also he's a baller and will cut you up with his saw at a moment when you're not ready for it and it will be really clutch and you'll feel bad. Happens surprisingly a lot in those pugs.
