i can guarantee that the 7 video did inspire quite a number of people to start to confront banny about his toxicity, which, giving banny's stubbornness to others' viewpoints (especially about himself), would have led to harassment since they would feel like banny isnt listening to their seemingly good-hearted words. (I worded that kinda terribly but I hope you understand)
Just because you call out someone for being bad, doesnt make you automatically good.
im not really apposed to the punishments for toxicity, but the part thats annoying is that there are so many people using this situation as a way to wipe their own slate clean and acting as if they have been an advocate of tf2 becoming a safe space for years.
Also the argument that credu's weapons are 'forgotten inside jokes' is so laughable when in this same thread people are bringing up old steam names as evidence of someone being racist which could also be a 'forgotten inside joke'.
Again, im not saying what pred and degu said is justifiable in any way, im just saying some of the reasoning behind other people getting a free pass for the same shit is so stupid.

HiipFiresacwhy punish the silent majority of frendly tf2 gamers because of the actions of idiots. tf2 comp teams have brought people from all over the world together and appreciate each other and created lasting friendships.The silent majority of tf2 gamers just letting the obvious growth of toxicity within the community happen to the point that most pug services are unplayable to people outside of the circle jerk that dominates it. Perhaps if more people actually spoke out about, if pug/league admins actually did shit about it could improve, but before this point it seemed like nobody actually gave a fuck.
I see people from all over the tf2 community getting picked in pugs, people i would never speak to in any other circumstance. So to say that we are all a part of a circlejerk is pretty ludicrous. Unless being good at the game is a circlejerk. I do agree that some people could get cooldowns from playing if they are toxic and whatnot.
And maybe most people are silent because they dont care? This thread has turned into the same 20 people posting over and over..

adyskyBtw these are the people that play for a team that didnt get disqualified last season for racism and offensive chat on multiple occasions just because admins didn't want to disqualify 2 out of 4 teams in prem playoffs.
