ignore cause apparently it was unneeded and unappreciated.

#4 Survey of TFTV's DPI and sensitivity in Customization

I scale 3200 dpi on my sensor down to 800 (easier to remember values) to keep the feel of 800 dpi on my desktop while keeping the higher dpi benefits. There wasnt an option for that.

#5 if ur getting recent fucky input lag / mouse sens in Q/A Help
AimIsADickKZalso while you are at it disable full screen optimizations. Do the same for your game .exe files like hl2.exe. I didnt experience any weird mouse things because I had done those things before.
I'm pretty sure only the Source Engine has issues with full screen optimizations. I don't ever remember those optimizations causing any issues on Steam.

https://devblogs.microsoft.com/directx/demystifying-full-screen-optimizations/

I disable Fullscreen Optimizations ( FSO ) because if Desktop Windows Manager ( DWM ) is running in the background, my mouse feels sluggish. Its not a true Fullscreen Exclusive (FSE) environment as referenced in the article, but rather a windowed borderless environment with added optimizations to make it feel close to FSE.

#17 tf2pickup.co.uk? in TF2 General Discussion
smziTf2pickup.de also exists and is currently pretty active add nR danny for further information

Main Language

The main language used on mumble, discord and in the game is German. Do not add to the pickup queue if you are not comfortable with using German for the in-game communication. tf2pickup.de was created with Team Fortress 2 competitive gameplay in mind.

Ja das ist nicht so gut :(

#16 Monitor Guidance in Hardware

BenQ 24,5" ZOWIE XL2546K

- 24,5" FHD
- TN-panel
- 240Hz, 1ms(GTG)
- DyAc+

The Dyac thing, ive heard prevents ghosting massively. Heard really good feedback.

You could go for 360 hz panel as well, beavern has that in combination with razer 8k. I can only imagine how smooth the curson on his screen looks

Also: https://www.tftcentral.co.uk/images/asus_rog_swift_360hz_pg259qn/lag.png

Avoid first generation (~2017-2018) 240Hz monitors as they have higher signal and response time latencies than second generation (~2019-2020) monitors. Examples of common 1st generation monitors:
Acer XF250Q
Dell AW2518Hf
ASUS XG248/258Q
ASUS PG248/258Q
BenQ XL2540/2546
ViewSonic XG2530
2nd generation monitors are usually the same price so there’s little point in buying 1st generation monitors. Some examples of gen. 2 monitors:
Acer XF252Q
Omen X 25f
Asus VG259QM
Asus VG279QM
If you can afford them, consider the 360Hz monitors for their lower signal and response times compared to 240Hz monitors:
Asus PG259QN
Dell AW2521H

Monitor review sites with latency measurements (do not compare latency measurements from different sources due to differing test methods)

#16 TF2 massive input lag after reinstalling in Q/A Help

Yeah this does help, but visuals might become slightly less smooth. Its worth it though.

Can you post your mousegraph?

instructions on second post.
make sure no applications are opened when you record your mouse graph.

#286 The Mouse/Mousepad Thread v2 in Hardware
mustardoverlordall of those mice are too small for me with the exception of the g pro superlight which is too expensive and the xm1r which looks solid but is wired anyways, boardzy is also one of the cringe cultists who thinks palm grip is inherently bad despite playing nothing but fortnite so I can't take him too seriously

as for mousepads I recently bought the aqua control + in like an xxl size, pretty psyched to see how it does

I mean dont get me wrong, there are very few top aimers that I know that use palm. Palm definitely limits full aim potential (for most people). But you should use a grip which is most natural and comfortable for you.
Also its not just boardzy that thinks palm grip is bad, every grip has its pros and cons. Palm is the most comfortable for long gaming sessions but is the most restricted in terms of degrees of freedom. If claw/ftip its causing you strain, burning sensation and inflammation in your joints then youre doing it wrong and should stick with palm. When I switched from palm to fingertip there was a transition period of discomfort, it wasnt anything unbearable or bad like the things I mentioned above.

#284 The Mouse/Mousepad Thread v2 in Hardware
mustardoverlordyo I'm trying to turn over a new leaf, so I decided to get a mouse as far away from my boomer preferences (palm/claw hybrid, always used large ergo mice, been using an ec1-b for the last few years) as possible for comparison's sake

I'm exaggerating slightly because I'm not gonna become a fingertip aimer all of a sudden so I don't want a SUPER teeny tiny mouse, but after thinking about it for a while I know I definitely want a mid sized wireless ambi mouse, and I'm basically between the viper ultimate, g pro wireless and model o wireless

all of them have great reviews, but my biggest worry about each is:

-viper ultimate- might be too low profile, making any sort of semi-palm grip uncomfortable

-g pro wireless- the double clicks, plus the price point (and I definitely don't wanna splurge on the superlight)

-model o wireless- standard old-timer revulsion towards the holes, plus I've heard murmurings of qc issues if you're not a youtube reviewer!

can someone help me sort though this morass? I am hella overthinking this lol

G pro superlight, xm1r, viper mini and hati-S would be better mice, 60-70g range/ ambidextrous. If you have the budget for it. Check out boardzy's reviews alongside these https://www.youtube.com/c/Cynadote/videos

Also can recommend slightly lower friction pads since you are moving away from boomer tech, https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1RAnmZxDNduaGV8kB-GCvZ0MO6d9-0j9jmrU2f8dp0Ww/edit#gid=0
dont go too low on friction. might be hard to control, if you are not used to low sens/ more arm motion.

#30 How I made TF2 run beautifully in Hardware
Z0rpiBeen playing the game for some time now, and never heard of this.
Thanks for posting.

The mouse input delay is pretty bad for this, you are using RTSS (external frame limiter). so yeah that's the tradeoff, you will get smoother and crispier visuals at the cost of input delay. Personally I don't like the slightly sluggish mouse, but if you don't feel any delay, go for it.
