#2 Registration closes TONIGHT 11/28/12 in TF2 General Discussion

For those of you interested in Global Offensive; ESEA is completely killing it in Global Offensive teams. They are about to break the 500 barrier in teams that have at least signed up. CS:GO looks to have effectively taken the majority of CS 1.6 and CS:Source teams which are both looking to have their smallest seasons since Season 3.

#1 Registration closes TONIGHT 11/28/12 in TF2 General Discussion

Reminder that registration closes tonight. You need 6 players with their league fees paid in order to be considered ready. (You do not yet need premium paid, you will however need that paid by your first day of matches)

Some really rough statistics based on players paid.

At this point 10 of the 16 pending IM teams have at least 6 players with at least one of those players league fees paid. Assuming all of those teams pay up and none of the others do we'll have at least 19 teams in IM this season.

In open 20 of the 27 currently pending teams have either multiple members paid or have at least 5 players on the roster and have at least one of those players paid. Assuming at the very least those 20 teams get fully paid we will have a minimum of 54 open teams this season.

That puts us at around 81 potential teams. Our biggest season of TF2 was Season 11 with 83 teams. We dipped in Season 12 to 68 teams (this always happens in summer seasons so the winter season rebound is perfectly normal). Depending on how the last minute registration rush works out we could easily break our previous Season 11 record.

#27 ESEA - Less than 4 days left in TF2 General Discussion

24 hours are left in registration.

There are currently 94 TF2 teams between the divisions. As long as we do not lose more than 10 of those teams we will have our biggest season yet. Our biggest season was season 11 with 83 teams.

#4 How to counter aggression on mid? in TF2 General Discussion

Find a team that plays aggressively on mid and get them to agree to do mid fights with you. Use the mid fight trainer stuff that exists now or just reset rounds manually and play mid fights against that team over and over again resetting after a team "wins" mid until both teams are winning about evenly. Try new things every round while you're doing that until you find something that works for your teams style of play. Let every player on the team offer suggestions; Don't just rely on the caller to change it up between rounds everyone has their own perspective of the fight.

#17 So I noticed this on ESEA in TF2 General Discussion

Hi, I'd just like to go out there and state that when it comes to LAN ESEA doesn't have much of a problem with TF2. This is because for the most part all of our players and teams have always shown up; We have a pretty solid track record. What they are talking about is because of CS teams who are comparatively a nightmare. When it is LAN time and the admins are worrying about teams showing up, it is always about the CS teams, never the TF2 teams, and that is something the TF2 community should be proud of.

In addition, what Justin said is completely true. ESEA has always offered to front last place prize money to teams in order to help pay for flights. Torbull can be rather proactive in contacting and working with Invite teams, and that effort is something that the rest of the community just straight up is not able to see. That is also why ESEA gets pissed off when teams don't show up or are forced to play 4v5 at LAN. It isn't because those teams couldn't afford it, it is because ESEA tried to work with them and they blew it off anyway.

The announcement should just be about a different/better way of handling bans in relation to LAN.

#6 i have an im roster in TF2 General Discussion

For the record I don't care if someone "gives" an IM roster away, so long as the Hijack rule is obeyed. Last season we had a team that did not listen (despite my repeated advice) and was subjected to the hijack rule. If that happens I can do nothing to help you, and if you make a thread bitching about something that you've been warned about multiple times I'll be very upset. It is literally your fault if you get Hijacked and not the leagues. Just get two players from the previous season who played in a match and stick with them for at least 4 matches.

#7 Anyone use a mouse bungee? in TF2 General Discussion

This is the one I've had. It's only 10 dollars so you aren't really losing much if you don't like it.

I was referring to another post that I saw on this forum earlier in which someone actually was selling their IM roster.
