Not going into the lan aspect but comp tf2 is not dead, in fact, it has never been so alive. The popularity of comp tf2 within tf2 general community is at an all time high. We have a higher amount and quality of resources that ever existed (tftv, comptf, pugsites, etc...). (ie: comptf growth over the last year)
We, as a community, have done the unthinkable and transformed a casual shooter with no dev support into one of the most mechanically complex, high skilled, and interesting competitive fps ever existed. Now, and as uberchain and clockwork very well said, the ball is on Valve's court. Now, It all hinges on them to make or break this game competitively and financially. Valve has more than enough resources to do it, more even than Blizzard and look what they've done with overwatch at such an early stage. It all depends if they're interested or not.
Now personally, I've not been involved in any lan production but I have my fair share of community projects and through them I've sacrificed at times some aspects of my real life in detriment of this game I love. I've started to question all the time I sunk into it, because it's very easy to burn out when you don't see any palpable results for which you've worked so hard for so long.
Yeah, ram usage is constantly at <90% while editing. Vegas ram preview, etc, takes a LOT of ram. 32Gb is a must for me.
I was under the wrong impression mobos were backwards compatible apparently. Its been a while since Ive really delved into hardware stuff, pretty much since I got this build.
Tino_Is this the same taimou that played prem way back in like 2010/11?
Yes, the medic main famous for his highly aggressive and flashy playstyle and his shitposts.
Tbh I dont believe he cheated on tf2, and he had further competitive fps experience at kind of a high level on Shootmania and Dirty bomb, but the clips here are really suspicious
I just didn't read too much into it but Im pretty sure it doesnt support the newer cpu architectures neither it supports ddr4 I wasn't sure about newer gfx cards.
I also was under the impression vegas/after effects rendering was more gpu dependent but it seems it is more cpu dependent indeed. I am bottlenecked by ram definitely, 16gb is too low and Im not sure if it would be worth it at this time to invest on more ddr3 instead of future proofing with 32gb ddr4. Which would require a new mobo but would make sense for future cpu upgrades.
Editing titles makes sense in theory but it's a bitch in terms of Pretty URLs and SEO.
Deleting posts is kind of a double edged sword because it makes sense in some cases but then again it can easily be abused.
In case you guys haven't noticed, corbt has been doing an awesome job on the wiki updating a page specific to Invite S22 Offseason changes, so you can check all the updated rosters and latest changes here.
I need to upgrade my rig. It's been 3 years and I'm noticing its starting to handicap me in the video editing department.
Current build is:
Intel Core i7-3770K
Asus P8Z77-V
Kingston HyperX Red 16GB DDR3-1600
Samsung 840 Series 250GB SSD
Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB
EVGA GeForce GTX 670 2GB
Cooler Master Storm Trooper
Corsair Enthusiast 750W
Any suggestions?
I assume I would benefit more from upgrading either my ram or my gfx.But I think I would have to upgrade my mobo as well as iirc it doesn't support most recent components.
Would 32gb ddr4 or (eventually) gtx1070 be the most logical upgrade?
shorasAny chance we could use ETF2L configs on EU servers?
Pretty sound logic, Im not sure why it wasn't adopted from the start.
I need this...
Damn I can already imagine how smooth it will be to edit with it

It seems like all the shooter franchises are going back in time. Can only go so much into the future until all games are robot zombies themed I supposed.
I dont remember any memorable WW1 fps tho so this might be actually pretty cool.

lmao you're talking about a game that doesn't even have strafe,
Article is very clickbait but still puts in perspective how mind boggling were the odds for leicester to win the title at 5000-1
