#61 huh check that out in TF2 General Discussion
HereThereBeTygersIn Mangachu's stream last night, Clockwork said that Pure felt ESEA didn't respect tf2 players after the client fiasco, and so he felt they didn't deserve his time/money, and that's why he left. Clockwork also said that they most likely aren't going to play this season because Pure was too much of a driving force behind their team.

Pure definitely has his shit together, really good decision if this is true. I hope more top players start pressuring ESEA so they dont think they can get away with anything

So this works on sv_pure 2 afterall? But its not supposed to right?

Do you have to do that trick of getting in a local server first and only then you can enter a normal server?

#114 ESEA Client Trouble Threads Deleted From TFTV/ESEA in TF2 General Discussion

Its really unfortunate for this to be happening this season and if ESEA really wants to grab the EU market they will gonna have to do soo much better than this. I don't really foresee any future in ESEA EU as of now :/

The apparent lack of communication even between the people working for this company is shocking. There is a very serious issue that is preventing any match from being playing until it's fixed and the main spokesperson from this company has no info whatsoever of the status of this issue nor he even knows who is working on it or if anyone's working on it.

Sorry, but our community deserves much more than this. I just wish all the invite players had the balls to boycott the league (as ETF2L suffered back in season 9, just for allowing a few unlocks mind you). At least until certain demands are met.

I'm really relieved I'm not playing this season of ESEA EU or else I would be really pissed right now.

Killing
I haven't joked around about anything.

What I'm saying is that you could have been a lot more upfront and professional from the begining of this whole thing, obviously this got out of hand now but a huge part of the uproar could have been avoided or at least toned down if the whole situation was clear from the begining, and despite not having anything to do with the client you play the central part there since you are the "face" of ESEA.

The face of something is sometimes more important than what goes on behind it. That's what customer service is. As people already stated, it's one thing to claim to know when things will be resolved, but it's another to give a duration and repeatedly not hold to it. Sure, Killing has gotten comfortable with the community so he talks to us in sarcastic tones, but there's a time and place for that. People are genuinely upset *as they should be* and the "face" of ESEA isn't representing it any better than what's behind it.

The honest and courteous thing "they" should have done was posted about this earlier. Even if they had to delay the 1st week of matches out a bit more, it would have at least given the community awareness as to what is going on and why. But instead, schedules have been crammed and the only answers we have received in regards to this issue are "nope" and "tomorrow". I agree. "Nope", it won't be fixed "tomorrow".

Well shit can't get much worse at this point so I'd love to hear more about what you just said. What could I have said that would make you happier? The nope was in reference to people saying they wanted to play off client, that's something I don't joke around about. The tomorrow was what I was told. So, What could I have said that would make you happier?

Just change your attitude a bit, I get it that you are familiar and feel confortable with the community, but as someone else said there is a time and place for joking around or being sarcastic / not serious. I have worked and experienced with costumer service enought to know your attitude (at least in this case) would get you off the job in a couple of days.

YOu have to put yourself in the shoes of people you are providing a service to, shit I have full Internet + TV + Phone for less than some of you are paying ESEA monthly and if anyone from my ISP were to treat me this way shit would get serious real fast, same for me with my clients.

People are paying for a service, albeit it's entertainment or fun don't joke around with people's money and time, ETF2L is a community league and I never saw anything this unprofessional happen over here (and by this Im talking about the whole situation not only you).

#12 CEVO TF2 s3 Registration Opens w/ - $600 in prizes in Esports

I really hope to see more and more people playing this league, it seems to have priorities a bit more straight than ESEA as well regarding the people playing. Best of luck for this season and I hope you get a lot of sign ups, can't play cuz Im european tho :(

#12 Additional Forum BBCode Tags in News

Pretty cool enigma, one of the few things I was really looking forward to be updated.

I hope there are more sizes / colors added in the future they would really work wonders and be really useful for big threads that have headers, etc etc... I don't think they will turn the forums into a rainbow parade or something, 99% of the forums out there have those options and its not like it did for them either, most it can happen its that it gets abused a bit at the begining because of the novelty factor. And even then it can be controlled by the mods.

As for the reply box, I think these icons are much clearer and sleek and don't make the box uglier as stark said, but its a matter of oppinion I guess. Probably also because he was used to the old format.

Edit: Finally the URL bug was fixed, it was annoying have to add http:// every time by hand, many thanks just for this :)

#6 Looking to get into ultiduo in TF2 General Discussion

I was actually thinking about sponsoring a ultiduo tourney through Comp.tf sometime in the future :) that or a bball one. If there's enough interest of course, and some volunteers to help out.

Eventually the aim would be to make it somewhat periodically alternating between bball and ultiduo, ie monthly, or each 2 or 3 months.

#13 Online activity clogging my internet in Q/A Help

Update, got a new technician over here.

They swapped my router/modem and apparently the problem is semi fixed, now when I load a video or something else online I notice my ping spiking but only up to 100-110 not 130+ and abnormal 500 ping spikes. So its semi-fixed and it seems it was partially the router, the rest is just the line itself that is old but that is only fixable by changing to fiber.

I streamed yesterday as well and everything was much better than usual even while streaming

#47 TF2 Stream Viewership in TF2 General Discussion

Obviously the best and easiest course of action here would be to get official support from valve, whether it is by adding a spec friendly mode, a ingame matchmaking option, ingame scene news / streams or whatever it is, but of course all that seems a very remote possibility even after sal and extine went over there.

But we can still do the best we can to put ourselves out there, we have been doing a great job for sure, but there is some stuff that could be rethinked or improved, ie: attracting more casual / pub players to view streams whether they are comp or not, I see this is a great possibility that hasn't been explored too much. Being through pubs or spuf or whatever options out there.

I actually had no idea competitive existed until someone mentioned it on a pub, then I started watching streams/compnews and playing a few lobbies and one day the portuguese community decided to start a portuguese league and this guy (san alex) went on asking one by one the pub players if they were interested or not, about 6-7 teams were put together by the admins by completely new players to the scene and today there are probably 30-40 more portuguese competitive players thanks to that one single thing and I am one of them, there is still a lot to explore in terms of attracting casual players, whether it is to watch streams or even to start playing competitive.
