Just like our devs have been working on the site itself over the past few months, our administration team has also been hard at work on rules and procedures. Here's a write up by Rand (our Administrative Leader) and myself about how the team plans on moderating the site. The post also includes the list of rules at this moment. These rules are subject to change based on community feedback, so we'd love to hear your opinions on here before our actual open beta release. Thanks.

hearts_We were really interested in participating last time around, but we decided against it due to the fact that one of the stipulations was that coaches got to pick teams and we didn't want to be separated after three seasons of playing together.
Really unfortunate that a miscommunication held you back from playing in ESEA this season. The teams are premade (by me and some other newbie mix admins/ helpers), and you can ask to be on a team with friends (meaning you could have maintained your whole roster). See you next season!
I'm super happy that some of the newbie mix teams worked out decently.
Marxist <snip>
We'll definitely be getting into it much early next time around (right at the end of the regular season, actually). Made a lot of mistakes this go around (didn't use my esea referral code so I'm paying for several people out of pocket, didn't wait until everyone had signed up to form the first few teams, etc) that are easily fixed. Definitely planning on doing another one, though.
SideshowRaw honey? Is that classed as an expensive commodity?
idk but it is delicious
Hey guys! In 3 days the first month of ESEA subscription that me + some great anonymous donors paid will end. If you have any ESEA premium codes you aren't planning on using (a rarity, I know), please tftv pm me about it. There are six people I will be renewing premium for this week. I'm happy to do it, I'd just rather not if I can avoid it. Ya know?
Next drive, I'll be sure to give all the newbies that pay for themselves my referral code so this isn't a problem. I just forgot that was a thing at 2 am when we started talks of the drive.
Trying to get some people in it right now. Come game if you want.
Need just a few more coaches to round out the night. Thanks guys.
edit: probably good i think
then i sent you info...
guys we really need coaches tonight
I didn't think about people playing Friday matches because of reschedules. Guys PLEASE come coach if you aren't busy tonight THANKS!
Hey guys. We just made a post over at the TFCompetitive group. We expect that we'll need a few more coaches than normal as a result of that, and we'd really appreciate you being there tonight.

Thanks!
Reminder that this offer is still on the table.
1 decently close game VOD = 1 key
I know it's not much, but I'd really appreciate being able to put out some more content on this channel.
HoodieBeale Street Music festival.
Might be going to that as well.
If anyone has any specific criticisms of my voicing on these, I'd love to improve. I'm no getawhale, and I don't ever expect to be. But i'd love to be as good as I possibly can be.

We're rapidly approaching a place of comfort for a public beta. I wouldn't use the word "close" but I also wouldn't discourage others from using it. There are a couple outstanding features to finish, some bugs to fix, and a bit of general polishing to do, but we're in a very good spot right now. As we've said before, we really appreciate the support and excitement of the competitive TF2 community about this site, and we look forward to you guys finally being able to play on it. In the above image is our sleek new logo. Hopefully you guys like it. Feel free to ask (almost) any questions in this thread and someone from Stadium (me or devs or admin team) will be happy to answer it.
Hooey is good at trumpet and also soldier. He's pretty freaking weird, but definitely in a good way. Love this guy, pick him up.
DanceNumberdo you have a set of rules in place for players on the site?
Yes. We've formulated what we think to be an extremely sensible list of rules. We've figured these rules out almost entirely over the past few months, and we're actually going to confirm them in an admin meeting this Saturday.
DanceNumberAlso how will these rules be enforced?
- We have what is essentially a chart that we plan to follow in most situations with a list of offences and number of times the user has committed the offence that leads to a certain number of days/weeks/months ban.
- Mods follow this grid and dole out bans from one hour up to a month, admins can ban up to three months, and anything higher will be confirmed by a committee of admins that meets weekly.
- There are !admin commands in all chats that can notify mods/admins of any issues occurring in real time.
- There will be a form for users to report things like trolling, griefing, etc. It can also be able to appeal bans.
DanceNumberWill people be free to spam chat or play troll classes in game, or is there an action plan to mitigate these things?
Being intentionally useless to your team or harassing other users will put you at threat of being banned. Users can report you to any mods/ admins that are online with the "!admin" command instantly or report it afterwards in a form.
DanceNumberDo you embrace the "it's just a lobby" mentality or do you want this to be more serious?
On a personal note, I think matchmaking will be a great outlet for people that just want to goof off in a 6v6-ish format. I think "serious" is a pretty strong word, but I think that users should go into lobbies planning to try their best. Hopefully I answered your questions decently.
BisquitWhen is this going public?
No set date, but we are rapidly approaching an open beta. We'll post as soon as we have a date set, though.
