allei have a g502 and its really good. the cable is pretty light although the mouse itself is kinda heavy for my taste but its not a biggie. ty for reading enjoy ur day
Haven´t tried it but it looks the mouse to get if your hand feels comfortable with it. A sensor better than g400 and the bells and whistles from g500 in a package sounds pretty sweet to me.
Are you able to bind the 'sniper key' to whatever button you want? How is the placement of it in regards to the tip of your thumb? When moving the mouse sideways, do you find yourself accidentally hitting it? I´m currently owning the old version of g500 and I´m looking to upgrade. This one seems to be the only other decent mouse with three side buttons.
Update: The Wall Street Journal has chimed in saying that the Twitch/Google talks "are at an early stage, and a deal isn't imminent." It sounds like Google and Twitch are talking, but we're getting conflicting reports about the timing.

Looks like the text is manually entered. :(
There is a way to open websites in a window, similar to the serverbrowser but it involves joining a server that launches that window and disconnecting.
So nope, we can´t have RSS feeds :(
They already mentioned that they´re trying to not force Google+ down your throat as much so this is probably not something to be concerned about.
The worrying part is brand competition, so the most likely outcome is for them to slowly merge Twitch into Youtube´s already existing streaming service. (The key part here is subtlety, to avoid an upset. Does anyone remember Microsoft´s Embrace, Extend, Extinguish? You can actually notice this strategy in a lot of Google´s products, like Chrome and Android.)
I´m so stoked for channels that are not available to watch without a proxy, copyright strikes and as I mentioned earlier, content ID. The positive side is that John is going to have massages and free catering at work, so that´s at least something, right?
I just replaced all fonts with Comic Sans. Hope you´re happy now. :3

Edit: Thanks for uploading this to github, Fwinestjedithug! You can find it here:

If they get contentID in, I´m out.
This is a pretty noble move but to be honest, I don´t care much about legalese.
So, is this the end of the HUD modifications thread? Should we back up all HUDs out there in case someone decides to follow this idea?
I just want my TF2 to look pretty. (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
ZimmyMight be on to something with these control points...

O____O
yes, yes you are
Thanks! Huh, this is interesting. I just set the post_time of a motd_entries.txt inside custom/hud/cfg to something like year 2000, enabled write protection of this file and now it takes 0-10 seconds to pop up after launch, even when I restart tf2.
Don´t know if the file is anything unusual but here it is anyways:
"motd_entries"
{
"last_request_time" "2013-05-05 21:40:25"
"last_request_language" "english"

Edit: seems like it doesn´t matter if it´s in ../tf/cfg/ or in a custom folder, as long as it´s write protected.
Is there a way for the news widget to open when you launch the game, rather than having to click on some kind of button?
slateMaybe I just don't get it, but what is the benefit to just opening the webchat through the steam overlay webbrowser?
When I read the title I was hoping for something like this tbh: http://home.scarlet.be/~rt022830/steamirc.htm
You can join pickup games while playing tf2. It´s convenient for single-monitor setups, I guess. But you could also have like a scrapbank website open similarly to the crafting menu, which is something I think would be another useful application for some people, you could put a link to the release page of a hud to check for updates, etc
HellbentSteam did not open a separate chat window, I was 100% certain I was trading my friend back my unusual, as he was 100% certain he was trading me his stuff. The trade popups occured WITHIN our chat boxes
KanecoIt's not a glitch, its simple social engineering. A friend of mine got scammed a 200$ CSGO knife the same way...
Did I miss something? :O
This is huge.
You guys need to find a way to reproduce this glitch and send a detailed report with the steps to reproduce this to someone like erics@valvesoftware.com, not shitty customer support. This is your best bet to get your items back and then some, I guess.
Also, if you visit your trade history, which account pops up when you click on the name of that guy you traded with? If that guy changed his name, is the 'name of your friend' still on the list of old nicknames on his profile?
