#1 Audio broken in Q/A Help

Lately when I play tf2 my audio is messed up.

- Hitsound sounds very weird:

- The sound of rockets gets cut off after the first few frames of the rocket being fired ( no example sorry )

- Spawnsounds in MGE are very hard to distinguish and to predict the right position

I tried:
- Verify Integrity Game cach
- Change audio settings between low / medium / high
- dsp_slow_cpu
- snd_async_flush
- snd_async_fullyasync

I'm playing on Windows 8 and I heard from others that have W8 too that have the same problem.

Does any1 know any fix for this?

aimBlands last(?), warmfront mid, snakewater last would be nice additions.

Also, would areas such as diagonal on blands or granary yard be good addition or is mge focused on point battles?

I don´t mean to insult you, but how exactly do you see badlands last or snakewater last as a good mge map? In my opinion, the main purpose of an MGE map is to re-enact a 1v1 situation that could happen in 6v6, while also purely training your DM. Key focus on aim + movement.
An arena that is a-symetrical, doesn't stimulate to attack eachother or doesn't have an "objective" to control (spire/granary crates/gullywash on top of cap) is not a good MGE map in my eyes.
Badlands last is pretty much useless without the control point added to the arena.
Warfront mid might be suitable for arena, but granary yard will be useless.
Snakewater last can maybe be interesting for scout v scout or demo v scout, but other than that I see no potential in it.

Also amphi in TF2 might be interesting to have for soldier v soldier? If someone would have the motivation to rebuild this map and make it playable for MGE it might be a cool experience to play, but I can't tell for sure.

My friend Mark (Honeymustard) removed the skybox limit and added this map to the MGE map. I added some spawns.

Granary_ultimate

I'm not sure who created this map, it was already present in Am_variety and I just added the MGE spawns to it.

Same as Granary_ultimate, not sure who actually created this map, just added MGE spawns to it.

These 3 are my personal favourite mge arena's. I have played all three of them a lot with Mike (MGE hero Mike) with great results.
Duel_trainyard_cool - Unique geometry which creates different playstyle. In the original version there is a small healthpack in the middle, it creates some interesting gameplay but I'm not sure if it should be kept.
Granary_ultimate - This version of granary is much more fun than the standard granary in my opinion. The crate are closer to eachother which makes the gameplay faster, and you can still do doublejumps if needed.
Maze - Playing this arena a few times with Mike was really interesting. Because there are a lot of different platforms it is much harder to predict where your oponent will strafe to, and just playing on the platforms creates an unique playstyle so different from- let's say spire.

U don't need to decompile the map to fix the spawns, they are part of mgemod_spawns.cfg where u can just set the xyz coordinates to wherever you want to respawn

I FOUND A WAY TO DO IT:

1. Download bl4nk's max health changer: http://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?t=115123
2. Remove

<-- Since this plugin was originally written to be used in L4D it was written to only boost the health of 1 team, that's why you remove this line.
3. Save this in your cfg folder as a .cfg file:

wait 10;give func_regenerate

4. Go in tf2, add some bots, open console: sm_maxhealth xxx and exec resup.

Now you can play vs bots with whatever the amount of health you want, and your weapon will be automatically reloaded every ~4 seconds.

turtsmcgurtsbecause nobody else seems to have a solution, I wrote this up in literally five minutes purely from memory. it compiles properly and, as far as I know, the logic should be fine.

it's a sloppy implementation by looping through every player on the server each frame and setting their health to 200. ideally you would reduce all damage to, like, 1 (almost positive it doesn't affect splash) or something like that.
