#14 Strange lag when very close to a scout as a scout? in Q/A Help
ZestyThis is how hitboxes in TF2 interact. If you walk into someone and get inside their hitbox, you'll be pushed out so the hitboxes don't overlap. It's most noticable on scout because you can get into their hitbox quickly before the game realises due to the fast movement speed. You can actually use this to your advantage on scout on low ping by tapping w when you're at very close range next to someone to repeatedly jitter out of them. Because it's you that's being displaced it makes your model really jittery and hard to hit, although this is mostly impractical in actual games.

The interaction does change with ping though. I think because the game takes more time to realise you're inside someone you can actually get through the middle of them and you'll get pushed out in a different direction which is why you can sort of slide through other players on scout at higher ping. You can't use this to your advantage too well because you kind of get teleported randomly and aren't looking in the direction of the player when you come out the other side.

Yeah okay this makes more sense now, my main point was really to find out whether this is a problem on my end allowing anyone else to outplay me for dumb reasons, or simply something touching everyone, thanks.

#5 Strange lag when very close to a scout as a scout? in Q/A Help
Mecha_CopI think the problem is that you're running into the other Scout and it's messing up your/his hitbox. My brother does it to me in mge on purpose so I can't turn to the side and shoot him.

This sounds somewhat logical, I wonder if this kind of hitbox thing could be fixed, like with cylinder hitboxes or something like that?

astrin_maybe your frames are dropping since there is so much going on at once?

Nah not about fps, happens simply always when 2 scouts interact.

#1 Strange lag when very close to a scout as a scout? in Q/A Help

I wonder if this is common for all, that every single time an opponent scout manages to get as close as possible to me(or the other way around) while I'm also a scout, I start to kinda lag inside him, sort of in a way if you rub say a rubbery square to a wall, the rubber won't slide smoothly, it kinda resists and moves clumsily against it, best comparison I was able to think of.

It feels like the opponent has 0 problems with hitting me, while my aim goes totally off, because again you imagine that you will move and aim just normally, but turn suddenly into a rubber or something. It's super annoying.
Generally I have 0-4 choke, I've no clue if this affects it.
I tried to record a demo, but obviously demos has no lag compensation so maybe this has to do with that? Can film with something directly to show accurately what I mean.

Could there be any fixes for this or is this a problem for everybody?

#13 "Kill Donald Trump" T-Shirts Are Being Sold Online in The Dumpster
nobelharvardsSomeone wants to solve a problem by shooting someone else.

What else is new in the United States of America?

Do you still call footpaths "sidewalks", glasses "eyeglasses", pronounce solder as "sodder", herbs as "erbs" and your secret element that is found nowhere else in the world "aluminum"?

Now someone has a grudge here :D

#410 Comanglia's Config / FPS Guide in Customization

Hey, I use Nvidia inspector to set lod bias to 15, but when I switched my cfg to yours, it no longer works, and when I switched my old cfg back the graphics where quake like again, any commands or other reasons that causes this?
Edit: for example with chris' maxfps this also works, but on your config something apparently disables the flat graphics, I'd like to use your updated cfg instead of chris' which is why I posted this.

#5 Info me on Razer Abyssus 2014 mouse? in Hardware
Bucakethe abyssus 2014 also uses the S3888, like the model before it.
native steps at 1800 and 3500. the 450 and 900 steps are calculated by the MCU (using the 1800 step).
tests done with the DA3.5G (uses the same sensor) showed jitter at 1000hz, so you might want to leave any S3888 mouse at 500hz.

you could look into the PMW3310. it's a popular sensor, very flexible when it comes to DPI (every 50 DPI = a native step).

The old Abyssus had only option between 125hz or 1000hz.
Edit: What would you say is the best sensor or something when we look at for example one in logitech g400s.
Edit2: I actually look for a mouse that works simply properly with 400 DPI, I don't necessary need much flexibility with the dpi changin'

#4 Info me on Razer Abyssus 2014 mouse? in Hardware
Klutz_I would highly recommend the G400s. It has what is known to be a perfect sensor and is used by many. Although it is becoming quite expensive on Amazon due to it being discontinued. I would still recommend this mouse if you're willing to shell out the cash.

I KNOW MAN I KNOW</3 I was considering that the most, but yeah the fact it's fairly expensive, and I can't really know what's the "Very good shape" when it arrives here. It's also too expensive. I wish they continued it, or at least made another follower or something. But my choice is probably the abyssus as I played pretty much as well with it as with the logitech one, now obviously I'd really really want to have the logitech, but no can do.

#1 Info me on Razer Abyssus 2014 mouse? in Hardware

Hello! I thought of getting a new mouse, and wonder if the Razer Abyssus 2014 works on for example 400 dpi normally. I used to have the old Abyssus, & it performed just perfectly, it broke due to mouse1 holder or something inside breaking in a strange way, but before it broke, I tried 450 DPI and changing in-game sens to fit it my normal sens, it felt strange as hell. I had the same cm/360, and it felt like I had a different sens, I then read later that many Razer mouses perform reliably only on the native(1800) DPI. Does this same problem also touch the Razer Abyssus 2014? Otherwise it's useless to pay 20€ more just to e able to change DPI to your own likings, but 1800 actually being only one working properly. I also read about Abyssus having jitter problems, I never felt them, except maybe on the other DPI values (450, 3500)
I'm so far only looking between these 2, because my old Abyssus broke in November, and I got my bro's old G400, which also broke, and now looking at my possible mouse choices these 2 are what I'm choosing between, so yeah.

#3 TF2 Crashing constantly, help! in Q/A Help

I searched and found a fix by disabling multicore rendering, I don't feel like playing right now but I was able to play 30+ minutes without crashing, so I'm not sure whether it did it. I've been able to play cs:go and source without crashing so I don't think it's the cooler.
