I launched TF2 today, joined a server but about 5-15 minutes after the game crashed. I kept trying for a while and the game kept crashing so I tried verifying the cache from properties, didn't help, after that I tried reinstalling tf2 but it didn't help either. Any ideas what could cause this? I think it might have started a week ago already.

Could anyone link me the latest nohateffects/partice remover mod? Thanks!
Yeah same here, had around 200-300, now it's constantly 90-100, fucks me very bad with 144hz monitor.
Edit: thanks Croce, fixed it.
Yeah I have Razer Abyssus, and I don't have any software where I could manipulate the DPI, so there's DPI button under the mouse so yeah I guess it could be inaccurate, there's 450, 1800 & 3500 DPI.
I just wondered, I have m_rawinput 1, and play normally with 1800 DPI and 0.63 ingame, now with 450 DPI I'd have 2.52 ingame sensitivity, but it feels much stranger, it feels slower and sort of like having negative acceleration or something, why is this so? They should be the same sensitivity in the end.
Find a friend about the same skill level or better and play with him, this way you'll ensure not ending up against players aiming to win at all costs, and both will improve more, and likely have a better time while doing so.
I'd also recommend to find couple guys like that, so you don't always play against the same guy, because you might start to memorize one's movement habits and so, it's good to practice against different players in general. Have fun!
Not only that, but I think both terrorist and ct's turn brown like they were made of mud last time I put lod bias to 15 with cs go.
Yea I dunno, I have been having also this, I haven't had choke in years, but suddenly, it's constantly 1-6, not too terrible lags, but notable, and annoying, even on non-halloween maps.
Edit: and my net's also been fine for years, hope this stops soon.
Not sure if there has been asked/answered before, but can I easily change the last damage done from over the ammo numbers to left on top of health cross, just a little preference if I could change that somehow I'd appreciate it, thanks, great HUD!
Edit: I'm dumb and lazy and found out by checking the HUD files..
yukiAs I've said on many occasions, I wouldn't divide up 'scout roles' like you would soldiers; they are extremely interchangeable. Since you are going to anyway, I'll give 2c.
I find some of the better 'passive scouts' tend to have a lot of initiative, and know when to take the beam and 'lead'. There are those times where, as scout, you have the smallest window to get in and do a lot of work: if you wait for someone else to call it, it's already too late.
If you're gonna play 'passively', don't just sit on the combo and eat the spam. If you're going to do it right, you'll combine some situations where you lead (see above), vs when you sit behind your combo and let them eat the spam/waste the other team's ammo, and you follow up with the mop.
I'm currently maining scout, having mained it last season and playing it a bit in ESEA. In the past, I generally played zero heals, getting medkits, and only getting buffs. In a 30 min game I'd get 250 heals (overheals excluded), which freed up heals for other players, and just suited my playstyle of wanting to hold w. As time went on, I realised it was better to have situations where you 'pocket' (a) scout(s), even if it involves neglecting heals on your heavy classes. This is obviously because scouts reload quickly, have high damage (duh meatshots), and high mobility, making them more favourable to heal in a lot of post uber exchanges. Because of this, doing stuff like counting ammo used and uber %'s (when ubered, i.e. knowing when ubers are fading) can make you a real weapon.
Playing any scout role effectively requires a very good understanding of the game. You'll notice that some of the best scouts have main called previously, and didn't even play scout for that long (zebbo, b4nny, clockwork [didn't maincall but meh]). It's kind of a given, but just thought I'd put that in anyway.
good luck
Thanks! This is also what I was wondering, that are scouts even divided anymore or so. Yes, I know it's good to stay with combo at some points, as you told, and if maincaller says so, but I was seriously wondering if it's legit for me to be shut up, standing still with the combo all the time doing literally nothing, tho it doesn't fit my playstyle really at all, and aggro play could do a lot for our team.
