Classy.
what's the official reason ?
Who do you think are the new rising stars in hl ? They can be in whatever division .
Do you think plat players will have more decisions on maps and weapon bans next season?
Thanks
Watch out for steam to be staem , community to be connunity, comunity and other little mistakes . I've had a few adds too, I'm not really sure how they're targeting people .
Also they won't have conversations with me :(
Damn I wish I played esea open to support people like rr-.
harbleuOf course sportsmanship is encouraged over shit talking, but you know what is encouraged over that? Winning. Nobody strives to have the best sportsmanship, they strive to win. If we wouldn't have said anything all lan lansky wouldn't have gotten on edge and played worse than he normally does. If you don't think trying to make your opponent play worse is a viable strategy then again, maybe competition isn't for you. Have you considered picking up knitting?
Months ago you called me absolute scum about 3 times in ugc forums . I denied a ringer in playoffs, although my reasons weren't for winning but what if they were? I could just say I was denying a ringer to win to give myself an edge, screw sportsmanship on rings or something I'm trying to win using your logic.

People are always talking about this image of tf2 but they always overlook things like this . I don't think anyone actually playing the lan was offended by the trash talk , possibly effected their play ( which shouldn't be made into a strategy .) but anyway what about the people watching ? If we have a choice to keep this on or off do we really want this to continue ?
do you honestly thing people saw the schedule, with TF2 being one of the longest running events of the day on day 3 of a 3 day weekend and said "hey, i have never seen tf2 before, let me go watch and maybe i will start playing"
if shit talking mattered when it comes to growing the community, the CoD and CS communities would be in negative numbers.
That dosnt make trash talking okay just because it won't suddenly make tf2 into some sort of super popular thing . The logic shouldint be that because other esport games are doing it that it's totally fine , that's a broken view.
It shouldn't be a strategy , and it dosnt look good on tf2 or the people when it's being done.
pine_beetleReasoner they aren't in kindergarten anymore.

hookyReasonersquidTrash talk happens in all games, including athletic sports. Do you want baseball teams to play in different rooms?Reasonerif you think iT didnt trash talk too youre beyond retarded m8
and i didnt say shit until after lansky stood behind me when we were playing against LiT talking about who hes giving the trophy to this season
You're missing the point , I used harbleu as an example because a video of mainly him was posted hen he was trash talking .
In general it should be gone , seperate rooms , easy ?
It isn't an either/or situation.
That's a terrible example , don't compare a physical sport to an esport in this regard because you're playing on a computer , you can move computers to avoid this issue . It's feasible that's the difference .
TurinReasonersquidReasonerThe fact people resort to trash talking for strategy is a bit sad . I understand for the money it's worth it but I can't really view harbleu with any respect he's looking that pathetic.
Anyway, can't we separate the rooms for LAN ? Unless we want trash talking to be an actual strategy .

Regardless of who said what , in general it should be gone , seperate rooms , easy ?
except for the cost of that. they use a hotel conference hall for the LAN so seperate rooms would be very expensive to either set up or rent.
How big is this hall ? Separate sides could be fine too.

Not offended but it's not very good for tf2 image , and saying "just deal with it" or "get over it" is not the best way to really handle it lol.

He's mad good.
and I destroy him in upward servers
What do you think is the best way to practice sniper?
bastid
I'm not trying to give universal solutions, just throwing ideas out. You don't push every point the same. I know what I wrote looks weird (tbh i was thinking gully last) but I would rather give fringe advice than be a defeatist waiting for a nerf. What if it stays in whitelists?
It's a matter of perspective. What I'm saying only sounds weird in the context of current HL.
It's semi universal that points are lead with an ubered demo , there are exceptions but the damage dealing class demo is heavily involved. I'm trying to figure out what pushes will be like without that damage.
I honestly can see the admins not banning it, they can be very lenient with unlocks in ugc. If it does, I'm glad I decided not to play soldier or demo.
