Freelance digital artist, considering web design once I can pay for college.
Along with making art for a living, another wild dream is creating the next big book series without relying on trendy gimmicks.

Skyrim is gorgeous. I had a good time wandering around and appreciating the artsy fartsy aspect. But as for really playing it, I did grow a little bored. I can't say if this was because it was genuinely less engaging than previous Elder Scrolls games, or if I just preferred Oblivion. I don't know. But there's definitely tons to explore and tons to do, so you're definitely getting your money out of it (or not, you scumbag pirate). It's cool that you don't select your main stats at any point in the game, so you're free to switch up your combat style at will.
Fallout 3 was pretty great. I agree with others when it comes to the environment, it gets old pretty quickly. But, I mean, it is a wasteland, I don't know what I was expecting. The DLC is pretty neat but not something I would pay extra for, so getting GotY on the cheap is the best idea, just in case you hadn't figured such already. Like M said, the lore is very interestng, so I even find myself reading about it online.
A lot of folks will say that they prefer New Vegas over Fallout 3, and I can see a few additions that may make Vegas more worth your dollar if you're just getting one game (Survival mode, weapon upgrades, whatever). The map is also smaller though (at least as far as I can remember, correct me if I'm wrong, guys), and the main story line has a little more oomph to it than in Fallout 3--but who plays for the main story?
atmoDid you choose the Carcharias yourself, or was the gift unguided?
I chose it myself and I don't regret it. What are you getting at here? Are you just trying to be an elitist wiener garbler or what? OP wants suggestions, people are contributing with products they have tried and liked.
My stuff has never broken because of something I did. If you treat things well, they'll last and and work well worth your money. I play better than a lot of people with my Deathadder and Carcharias, and Steelseries mousepad. All three were gifts from people who know computers and video games, by the way. I trust them not to give me garbage.
But the Razer Carcharias looks stupid, has no LEDs, is built well enough to where I haven't broken it in a number of years, and has a split end to the cable for separate mic and headphone jacks and thus can be used for anything?
???
atmoHappy to see razer/logitech/steelseries shit getting -fragged. Looks like the community is learning.
None of my Razer or Steelseries items have broken, and everything works great. I don't understand what the problem is.
I have a Razer Carcharias. Other headsets and headphones have been painful because I wear glasses, but these are pretty darn comfy. Nice sound quality, mic is nice/decent. Mine was gifted to me at full price, $80, but my boyfriend picked up a refurbished pair for $45 or so I think.
Tidehunter T-shirt and Dota 2 posters for my boyfriend (hoarding them for his birthday and Christmas).
Pinkie Pie Mug for my brother's birthday.

Including myself, these are the artists I am familiar with.
The most professional would be SexyGreenFrog, who has done work building and designing websites on commission.

Toast, as mentioned, also does good work. His Flickr has more examples: http://www.flickr.com/photos/shaunreyes/page1/
Chimp and Squid are excellent artists, but more "organic". I'm confident that they could do anything they wanted to do, though
Not huge on the vocals, but the rest of it, hot damn.
I love piano aaaaaaaa.
An update, if anybody wanted to see: http://imgur.com/UbguGN1
Special thanks to bfl`Squid. <3
