tehmassI am currently looking for a designer, that is willing to group up with me and take on a few projects that I have coming my way this year. It will bring in money for this person but at first, Dedication and the willingness to expand your knowledge is something I will need to see
Uh, no. An artist doesn't need to churn out work for free in order for you to first "verify their dedication," before they will (supposedly) receive payment. Any decent, self-respecting artist will never do that, and no artist should ever do that.
There is absolutely no guarantee that I am seeing from you that the artist will be paid for their time, skill and effort. "It will bring in money," may seem like a good idea, but in this case it's unacceptable because:
a) You offer no details about those "projects"; sketchy
b) "Will" is not proof of contract
c) You either don't have the funds on-hand to commission an artist, or are trying to find cheap labor, both of which suggest you have no respect for our profession
Why would I, an artist, want to work for you?
