A Day Through the Eyes of Salamancer
It's BEEN incredibly fucking pathetic. If ever there was a way to dissuade people from trying competitive TF2, this would be it. Why bother if people can just DDoS one another with no repercussions?
I don't know what all this Vegas elitism is for, but I am quite content with Adobe Premiere Elements 8. Easy to use and you can do pretty much everything. I don't think what you use really matters as long as you're comfortable with it.
P.S. If your plan includes offering services that already exist, but with a price tag, how do you see yourself being successful in that endeavor? You aren't an artist or designer, as you have pointed out already, so you have nothing visually unique to offer from yourself. There's no reason for anyone to want to pay for a website for their team that functions about the same as everything else that already works for free. You have to remember that TF2 does not have a profitable competitive scene, and not a very big scene at all at that. So there's literally no reason to spend the money unless they just have a fuckton of it lying around, because there sure as hell won't be any sort of traffic enough for good ad revenue.
tehmassI am currently looking for a designer, that is willing to group up with me and take on a few projects that I have coming my way this year. It will bring in money for this person but at first, Dedication and the willingness to expand your knowledge is something I will need to see
Uh, no. An artist doesn't need to churn out work for free in order for you to first "verify their dedication," before they will (supposedly) receive payment. Any decent, self-respecting artist will never do that, and no artist should ever do that.
There is absolutely no guarantee that I am seeing from you that the artist will be paid for their time, skill and effort. "It will bring in money," may seem like a good idea, but in this case it's unacceptable because:
a) You offer no details about those "projects"; sketchy
b) "Will" is not proof of contract
c) You either don't have the funds on-hand to commission an artist, or are trying to find cheap labor, both of which suggest you have no respect for our profession
Why would I, an artist, want to work for you?
ProsperityI wanted to do a broad logo that captures most of 6's together.
That's what it sounded like.
Also since you're set on a singular logo, I tried to drum up some other ideas.
Prosperitywithout using the copyrighted TF2 logo.
Well, you're already using their intellectual property. I wouldn't call incorporating the TF2 crosshair logo a big leap in ethics, so you may as well swap it back in.
Okay, so, I tried to rearrange what you had going on to get something with a less cluttered look, but I decided it would be hard to do such and maintain an appealing design.
In my opinion something more easily legible is the way to go, and this is what I came up with:

The projectiles aren't combined into a neat little symbol, but I tried to keep the feel of what you had going on, or at least communicate the same thing. The digits are Trajan Pro in bold, and the V is a lowercase in Market Deco.

Nope. I do take commissions. If you're interested, information on commissioning me can be found in my Steam group: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/RenArt
Mr_OwlCool concept. I assume you'd lift the artwork from in-game models? The sketch is an awesome proof of design but I think it'd look way better using actual game art.
The issue with using actual game art is it's straight-up theft.
On the design: I don't understand why you decided to incorporate the Sniper's patch. It makes sense if you consider it's a common off-class but not when you're trying to create something simple and relevant.
I would say to remove the smoke trail behind the rocket, and replace the heal beam with one of the Medic's weapons, such as the Medigun or Kritzkrieg, or even the Ubersaw.
Something else to consider is choosing the primary weapons of each class (excluding the Medic) and use those to represent them for the sake of consistency.

Maybe someday! This one took me about a week to complete, so I'm not in too big of a hurry to start another large project, haha.
Thanks for the kind words, everyone.
