German and English.
Only 2, so not really impressive for a german.
But on the other hand I'd say my english is way above average for a german, and that's the most important language so I think I'm ok.
Learned latin in school but hardly remember anything plus I don't think I'd have a chance to use it if I did ;)
mitchcliff123It may have something to do with the new codec
Yeah maybe. But maybe not. And if not I'd really like to know what else the problem is and if I can fix it.
And if it is the codec I'd still wonder if there is maybe some work-around to still use a mic with the new codec.
And if there isn't I would like to get the chance to say "thx volvo, get your shit together!!"
So saying "It might be the codec" doesn't really solve the problem and if anyone has any more input on this I'd love to hear it ;)
Amarok do not add anything to the game, that'd it be mechanicly or in terms of variety.
Who says that? You? That's just you opinion and other people might see it differently.
Amarok mechanicly or in terms of variety.
Uhm sorry but you logic is just flawed here.
If you allow more weapons that definitely means more variety. Just by definition...
And mechanically? If you allow weapons that use game mechanics the other weapons don't use then yes, it does add something to the game mechanically.
I think asking to ban stuff, to take away options, without any good reason other than you don't see why we need them is pretty stupid.
More options to choose from is always better than less options if there isn't any real reason to not have certain options.
If some items turns out to be game breaking or too annoying you can still ban it no problem.
Took them like 2 days to ban the atomizer again last time. Big deal.
But having more weapons to choose from makes the game more fun and might breath some fresh air into a otherwise pretty stagnant meta.
So far I think the global whitelist has helped a lot more than it hurt the game and I don't really see why you're complaining about it?
Maybe you can name some specific items that are bothering you?
With the vague statement you made it looks like you just enjoy complaining.
VulcanDo you happen to have a second mic you can test?
Yeah I tested another mic and it's the same thing.
I have this weird problem where my mic works fine everywhere but in TF2. Steam mic test, steam voice chat (the one via chat window), TS2, Mumble, Discord etc. it works fine and I can hear myself loud and clear.
But in TF2 I have people complaining they can't understand me because I'm so quiet.
Used to tell them they just need to turn up their volume my mic works fine but just now used the mic test thing in the ingame options and it turns out even when I speak loudly you can barely hear anything and it sounds like someone in the next room is talking.
I asked google but didn't find anything that helped (some threads said the new voice codec doesn't work for Mac, but I use Win10).
Usind an external sound card and tried using my on-board sound just to be sure. Even with mic boost on maximum I where my ears hurt when I test the mic outside of TF2, once I try it ingame I can barely hear a thing.
Not sure if it maybe has something to do with my config.
Those are the commands from my config.
Already tried changing all those commands, but not sure what the default value is for all of them or if it's maybe multiple commands that cause the problem.
Removing the entire audio section from my autoexec didn't fix it either.
Anyone got any idea how I can fix this?
7HUD. Tested a shitload of HUDs but 7HUD is by far my favorite.
m0reHUD is ok I guess, but I think the health/ammo fonts look retarded.
Can't you just use this thread?

98g.
Way too heavy for me.
Rotten_Mindi use _surfacepropeties.vpk from Clean TF2, so i can't see any difference just because i can't see bullet impacts
Where can I get that _surfacepropeties.vpk thing and whats clean tf2?

Rotten_MindSo here are the benchmarks
Note: For this benchmark i use ORIGINAL (means w/o changes) Comanglia's CFG
Original one
2639 frames 32.802 seconds 80.45 fps (12.43 ms/f) 5.517 fps variability
With cl_new_impact_effects 1
2639 frames 32.746 seconds 80.59 fps (12.41 ms/f) 5.600 fps variability
Does 0.1 FPS count? :D
I swear, i had these results above
Maybe i should try later, lol.
BTW. I edited this config and I have slight fps boost from my settings.
2639 frames 32.313 seconds 81.67 fps (12.24 ms/f) 5.673 fps variability
Idunno, just wanted to show off.
My shitty specs.
Intel Core i5 Quad-core
Intel HD Graphics
Craptop
So what are those commands you changed in comaglias config to get the FPS boost?
There's a difference of like 1 FPS between your two benchmarks.
That's well within the margin of error for this test. The results change slightly every time you run the benchmark.
Same for me: cl_new_impact_effects 0 = 170FPS, cl_new_impact_effects 1 = 169 FPS.
Next time I did the test it was the other way round.
Tested once more ant the results where exactly the same...
Maybe it could have an actual effect when your GPU is the bottleneck.
But you'd probably have to have a integrated GPU for it to be your bottleneck in TF2.
In general there's a lot of graphic settings that don't really change FPS because TF2 is so CPU heavy while most modern GPUs don't even reach 50% usage.
Like I can set my shader, model and texture details to low or to high/very high and it won't change my FPS one bit.
And my GPU isn't even high-end by any means (GTX750Ti).
I'd be interested in buying both the Blue Snowball and the Razer Goliathus Speed.
Please reserve them for me.
I'll PM you my adress and we can talk about shipping and payment and stuff.
Edit: ups, didn't realize how old this post was.
Are you still selling those things?
B0mbasticBillThe link for the Windows download is broken. Is there anywhere else that I can download this program?
Want to know aswell.
redi-CPU: 84 C
GPU: 62 C
these numbers seem above normal, could it be a heat sink or fan issue?
I guess there's your problem.
At 84C your CPU is probably throttling and not working at it's full speed and you get bad FPS.
Are your FPS bad right from the second you start a game or do they get worse as you play?
You should try to fix the temp problem either way but you could test if temps are really the cause by running a program like CPU-Z while playing and see if your CPU is in fact throttling.
Open task manager and see if anything else is using your CPU besides the game you're playing.
Maybe it heads up so much because it's at 100% all the time.
As for fixing the temp problem: Just buy a new CPU fan. You can get a decent one for like $30-40 that will be worlds better than the stock cooler.
I also recommend using speedfan to control your CPU fans speeds and make it so the fan works at minimum speed while you PC is idling (to make it quiet) and goes to full speed before your CPU is over heating.
Could also be a short term fix for your FPS problems - set it up in a way that the CPU fan goes to 100% when your CPU reaches 75C so it won't get any hotter than that and won't throttle.
Make sure you have 2 case fans. One in the front blowing inside, one in the back blowing out so you have a constant stream of fresh air going through your PC.
Yeah there is a difference, but a small one.
Mouse movement just has a slightly different feel to it.
A lot of CSGO pros prefer 400 DPI over 800 or whatever.
The theory is that with 400 DPI the mouse isn't quite as accurate, which can be a good thing since it means is won't record very small unintentional movements of your hand.
