the fact that he has only an interest in playing competitively is a good reflection on the average person (that's above the age of 13) that downloads TF2 for the first time. every single modern FPS in the last 5-some years has had competitive matchmaking that functions and takes center stage as the game's main experience. TF2 will continue to suffer from a lack of new players until we make it the center stage of our game
certainly interested in getting better, just hasn't been pursuing getting better properly. with proper guidance could be a good player.
this thread is the definitive evidence to prove why tf2 is dead and deserves to be that way
i get lots of people don't like when lots of games come out in a genre that people don't like, like BR, but you're stupid if you're calling this game a "clone" of Fortnite. literally not a single gameplay aspect is similar besides being battle royale
do you eat glue or something
h1z1, pre-combat update was nearing perfection as a competitive, skill-based BR game long before fortnite or pubg even existed or were popular, and daybreak studios threw it in the garbage. now that i can't play that game anymore (unless i want to get 60 fps all the time even though i have a good computer) i have to play either fortnite or pubg for my battle royale fill, and both of those games aren't even close to skill based. fortnite is just a question of who can spam buildings better and pubg is the antithesis of fun in every aspect, from the 5 hour long looting phase, the completely shit visibility and lack of information given to the player, all the way down to the core movement and shooting mechanics.
before they reworked the two weapons, the darwins danger shield and the vita-saw were both banned from competitive on the merit that both were so good, that one player refusing to run the other would put them at an almost insurmountable disadvantage. while that advantage is reflected a lot more obviously in raw stats (instant bullet resistance + instant ubercharge percentage), one could argue that the crossbow is so powerful that running literally any other item in the slot is putting you and subsequently your team at a near insurmountable disadvantage (unless you're froyo teehee xD)
any1 tryna play some fortnite?
