Dyl4Nspeaking of colors of huds, please dear god someone tell me the rgb color code for SDB's eve hud damage indicator
example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LhGXZ_tj79M&t=71s
Take a screenshot of the vid and use a color analyzer tool to find the rgb value

An actual official
stephhow would you do this on toonhud? im not an Expert Hud Editor, ive got no clue
Idk if the event names are the same for every hud so just open your hudanimations file, scroll through, find the event names and replace them in the code that mastercoms posted, then put the whole thing in the hudanimations file
Or just wait till someone that's not as clueless as me comes along and tells you what to do
edit - i checked flathud and the animation names are the same so they're probably the same in every hud so i guess all you gotta do is paste the code in your hudanimations file
I've been having the same problem ever since I came back a week ago, as far as I can tell, keeping the game open for longer increases the chances of it happening. Simply killing the process works for me though
I'm also interested in getting 3's from aliexpress but I have no idea if they're legit or knockoffs
edit: i guess they're extremely cheap because they're youth edition ones, not actual piston 3s
Reddit can be useful sometimes

"Tagg uses tf_dingaling_pitchmaxdmg 65 and tf_dingaling_pitchmindmg 135."
Definitely a longshot, but tagg used to have a video about console commands in tf2, right? Well, years ago, young me watched that video and used the hitsound max/min dmg pitch values that tagg used in that video and I've been using them since. I lost all my files a few days ago so I'm looking to recreate everything the way it used to be, and the dingalingaling pitch values are the last thing that I'm missing. I tried looking for the video but he seems to have removed it from his channel for whatever reason :/
Does anyone know wtf I'm talking about/uses tagg's values?

disclaimer: I don't play HL, I just joined a random HL channel cause it had a bunch of people that were talking and a bunch of inactives to show the different colors
hamahampics now that you recovered it?
My PC is still dead, I can post one when I get my new hdd today/tomorrow
I'm looking for a specific mumble overlay that I was using it for the past 4 years (my hdd died and I don't have a backup anywhere). Since it doesn't show up on steam screenshots, I can only describe it visually. It used a very clean looking font without serifs, the inactive people were grey and slightly transparent and the active ones were a sort of pastel orange. Mute status wasn't shown by default. I originally got it either from an old tftv thread or an old etf2l thread. Much love if you actually know what I'm talking about
Edit: nvm I found it in my old tftv posts. Here's the code if anyone wants it. It's a really sexy overlay

SetsulI'm assuming it's 2.5" but you also need to check the thickness. There's 5, 7, 9.5, 12.5, 15 and 19mm 2.5" HDDs.
Never considered that tbh. I guess since I'm buying it from an irl store, I'll just show them the old one and ask if it's compatible. Thank mr setsul
SATAMight be irrelevant but just thought I'd share I had the same issue with a HP/windows 7 laptop recently, crashing and then always displaying the same error message when trying to reboot: "BOOTMGR image is corrupt. The system cannot boot".
I couldn't bother trying and get it fixed (company laptop) but after waiting for a few days (3-4 days) without touching it, I tried rebooting and it actually worked fine. I just fear the issue may show up again in the future.
GL
Tbh that's usually my method of solving problems too so I'll check if it fixed itself tomorrow, if not, im gonna grab a 320gb that I found for $30
Thanks for the tips. I tried unscrewing it and plugging it back in and it still refuses to boot, the tests now keep alternating between passed and not installed so I guess it's fucked haha.
What's the general price range for a laptop 250-500 gb hdd?
So I'm a clumsy fuck and I pushed my laptop off of my bed. It turned off and now whenever I try to turn it on I either get "The file is possibly corrupt. The file header checksum does not match the computed checksum." or "BOOTMGR image is corrupt. The system cannot boot"
I did the quick startup diagnostic test for my hdd and I got this
https://i.imgur.com/G8pB0rO.jpg
I tried running the test again and now it just says NOT INSTALLED
So is my disk completely fucked or did something just come loose?
Also, I'm on a hp probook 4540s running win 7
