In the 6 years that I've been playing, 7.9% by steam playtime, 4.3% by class hours.

Eh, 5% of my time in the last 6 years ain't bad for a hobby. Idk why everyone sees it as depressing I mean fuck, you literally sleep through 1/3 of your life and imagine all the time you "waste" by showering, shaving, brushing your teeth, cooking, vacuuming, doing laundry, commuting. If you wanna look at life that way, 5% of your time on a hobby isn't much at all.

Also, if it's internet lag, you'll still see stuff like small character animations looping smoothly, particle effects and shit, if it's PC lag, everything will be frozen or choppy

I used to run one for a few months a couple of years ago and speaking from personal experience, announcements never work because everyone ignores them and you're stuck spamming your friends list as you normally would. Honestly the best way would be to make a WhatsApp group or whatever since people don't always check discord, everyone ignores steam announcements, and you can't add and manually spam 200 people on steam (which ends up happening every time anyone tries to get a dmix going)

Any chance you can get an Ethernet cable? That's what fixed it for me. I had no issues with other games, only with tf2 and I've seen plenty of others with the same problem, so I guess this game just runs like shit on wifi. Maybe getting a better router or a better adapter on your PC might improve it but I don't have enough technical knowledge to give you advice there
