#6 Upward Pyro in Videos
IceThatsCoolReuploading since somebody botted it with dislikes

It didn't get botted. The dislikes were genuine. You posted your video on a forum about competitive tf2 and people here don't exactly like pub videos, so a bunch of them disliked it.

Anyway, as spammy suggested, stick to posting pub stuff on r/tf2. TFTV isn't the right place for it. If you're ever interested in 6s, feel free to come back to this forum

#18 Too Many Open Players, Too Few Open Teams in TF2 General Discussion
owlyou guys think way too much about team leading lol

getting 6 people who like tf2 together on a reasonable schedule isnt that hard as long as none of them are literal children and the rest is all just basic social interactions

if you are playing primarily with 14 year olds then i can see how team leading would be frustrating

I ran a team with 18-20something year olds, I even had a nerd sheet where everyone could mark which days they could play on. Some of them would mark a day as green, I'd schedule a scrim they would just be offline. So it's not really about age, it's about much how they're dedicated to tf2, and at lower divs, the level of dedication ain't that impressive.

Anyways, being a team leader IS work since you have to spam people and remind them of scrims/officials and find mercs if they don't show up but it's not insanely hard or unfun. I guess it's even easier in NA since people actually pay to play so they take things more seriously, so don't be scared of it.

#109 Timing items instead of banning them in TF2 General Discussion
toon-tpfWhat if we set that some weapons can be used let's say 5 times per map. What would mean if u die your team can used that weapon 4 more times.... + resub is "same as dying".

I can't believe I'm about to type out a serious reply in this thread. Eh fuck it, let's be constructive.

Let's ignore the obvious issue that that would require a plugin that would be aids to make, debug and maintain. Let's look at some easy examples

Show Content
Crit a cola - heal heavy passive scouts like hafficool. They die what, 6-7 times per map if they're winning and 15ish if they're losing. So let's average it out at 10 deaths per map. That would mean that they can run an aids weapon like the crit a cola for half the map.

Another easy example - vita saw. Medics die even less so they can pretty much run shit like the vita saw or the quick fix nearly full time on a map

GRU - you can run a gru heavy to every or nearly every mid on a map. Same goes for the meme parachute

Wrangler. 5 last defenses where you're going to either be forced to sac/focus for an engie pick (lmfao) or waste 9 rockets or the equivalent in rockets/stickies to kill a sentry with damage resistance (and that's not even counting on the engie repairing it)

Point being, please don't try to come up with ridiculous overcomplicated bs that you haven't even thought through when we already have a simple easy one - whitelists.

Or ya know valve actually fixing broken shit

corsacereaIhow about after 10 minutes someone is randomly chosen as saxton haleI need this.

Replace both medics with saxton hale and only push when your team's hale has his abilities up

Midfights will be really cool too, 2 hales punching each other's sweaty 20k hp bodies for 10 minutes with the respawn waves coming in periodically and wiping after a minute

This also makes pyro a viable class to spam airblast hale off a point so you can cap

r/tf2 will stop whining about class balance and classes not being used full time in 6s

all the problems with 6s fixed

We esport then.

#1 Default pizza in Off Topic

So I'm sitting here stuffing my face with pizza and I gotta ask - what's the default pizza in your country? Like, the most basic, classic pizza, the thing that first comes to everyone's mind when someone says pizza. Over here, it's ham/mozzarella/mushrooms.

#9 Any good free games? in Other Games

Killing floor isn't free but it's dirt cheap during sales (since there was a sale recently, you can probably get a copy on tf2outpost for 1 key). It's an amazing game that you can play alone, with randoms or with friends and you can easily get dozens if not hundreds of hours from it

#9 AHK scripts. in Customization
VulcanNo, there are ways to make triggerbots and aimbots in AHK, and there are no ways for league admins to check what scripts you are using.

Ah yeah, now that you've mentioned it, it makes sense. Years ago I played an MMO where people used AHK to spam spells and do perfectly timed combos since you can write a script that scans your screen for a certain image (such as the spell icon on your spellbar) and then moves your cursor there and clicks it for you, so I guess it's possible to make an aimbot/triggerbot with the same principle

AlfieSentinelWhy would you need a script for sticky spam? Just hold m2 and tap m1 repeatedly, I dont see how a script could make that more practicalIf you hold m2 while spamming m1 doesn't it make the sticky det as early as possible?

I just assumed that that's what he was going for when he said "sticky spam script". If you actually wait for the sticky to get near a target before you det then it's not really "spam" and it's not feasible to make a script for it since the timing will always be different

#2 AHK scripts. in Customization

Why would you need a script for sticky spam? Just hold m2 and tap m1 repeatedly, I dont see how a script could make that more practical

Anyway, since you're European, here's what the etf2l rules say

Show Content
6.3 Scripts

Scripts that allow a player to perform an action in-game that he would not be able to execute without the script, or scripts that purposefully disrupt the player hitbox are banned. Scripts that freeze or glitch the player model (e.g. in mid-air to be less predictable) to make it harder to hit are also banned.

Usage of banned scripts will be penalized on a case-by-case basis, depending on the intent of the script, the impact on the matches the script. Possible penalties may include warnings, default losses for one or more match rounds and league bans for repeated offenses.

Examples of banned scripts:

Chargeturn script (this includes the use of other peripherals to achieve sharper turn angles)
Examples of allowed scripts:

Duck jump script
Null-cancelling movement script
Rocket jump script
Mask uber script
Team say scripts
If you are unsure about the legality of a particular script, please contact an admin to clarify the situation before using the script in an official match.

"Scripts that allow a player to perform an action in-game that he would not be able to execute without the script (...) are banned".

Seeing as you can already sticky spam without a script, it doesn't sound like using one would be bannable. But as the rules say, if you aren't sure, just ask an ETF2L admin

EDIT: Because I'm a god at procrastinating important shit in my life, I looked at both the UGC and ESEA rules and they pretty much say the same thing

Show Content
UGC - 7.4 Using the server or console commands to give any part of your team an unfair advantage is cheating. This does not include scripts regarding flag status, class status, health status, incoming calls, or the like. If you are in doubt about a particular script, post it on our forum for advance approval by an admin.

ESEA - Scripts - All scripts that alter a player's hit box, or give a player an unfair advantage over others are illegal

#32 Whitelist Changes Poll in TF2 General Discussion
saamSentinelpromod plugin
It would mean NA and EU were playing totally different TF2 tho, remember that we have ESEA to deal with.

Would it be possible to convince them to allow it, since they're already fine with whitelists/class limits?

#29 Whitelist Changes Poll in TF2 General Discussion

Honestly, it would be nice if we used a promod plugin that rebalances weapons for 6s. Shouldn't be too hard to make/maitain since tons of pubs have modified weapons already (x10 servers, vsh servers etc). I don't really see how that would negatively impact our "relationship" with valve, seeing as it's currently nonexistent apart from writing a news post for major lans and distributing medals for leagues. Just tailor the game to be the most fun it can be and stop worrying about valve, it's not like we matter to them, we're only a tiny fragment of the community of a game they don't really prioritize anyway.

If valve ever takes an interest in hosting official tournaments/lans (and I highly doubt they will, since it doesn't look like a source of profit for them) it'll be on their terms using their rules anyway so why stress over it

TF2 is an old game already and the playerbase is diminishing, so the more time goes on, the less likely it is that valve will bother investing money or effort into new things like official tournaments. We're all here because we love playing the game, not because we hope that it'll be the next huge esport, that would be delusional. So imho, it's pointless to sacrifice fun in the name of something that'll never happen.

Don't worry about it, just make sure that you have fun.
