Maybe if we still played GPit this could have a purpose.
Or in playoff games where there are ban/picks for maps, a winner of pootis fight could decide if they ban first etc...
I kinda always knew TF2 would have a competitive scene and I knew it was 6v6 but I was scared to try because I was 13-14 at the time and I thought I would be ridiculed for my high pitch. But in late 2009 I decided to make a team with irl friends and some good pubbers I knew.
7 years later still playing,
im a dva picker
I play it a lot like tracer/genji where I go flank and take 1v1 fights with people.
https://www.twitch.tv/setlet/v/69755289 My point of view from this game! (no one was in twitch chat this time)
00:07:45 cp_process (please don't watch I played horribly)
00:48:50 koth_product_rc8 (hype confirmed)
How does a country with only 300k people have lots of good tf2 players. Yourself, ryder, django, condom and to some extend players like Mundi, plerfs and lucifer?
Buttface_JonesazarunBumFreezeremove the biggest thing that makes this game uniqueUbercharge is the central thing in sixes but not in "this game". Newb that played only pubs can only figure sixes metagame (which revolves primarly around ubercharge mechanic) after getting an experienced mentor/reading handfull of guides/watching lots of casts, he will never pick this idea by himself, and thus making a big barrier between "this game" and sixes, that was my point.
I disagree. Back when I was playing The Orange Box on Xbox with no concept of competitive play it took me maybe a week of pubbing to determine that the medic was the most important class, ubercharge is the central focus of the game, and that the team with the best medic usually wins. This is true on all levels of TF2 because ubercharge is the defining characteristic of TF2.
I concur, winning dustbowl is only possible with ubers
kosWe missed out on ESL because...?
Because they forced us to use their AC client which gave massive FPS problems for TF2 users.
THANKS MRS. TOBS
bfaalizeeWhen i used to play with my former div6 team back in S8 where the level was much higher,
The game was much different back then so it's really hard to say that the skill level back then was much higher. Old Dignitas or idk? (epsilon) wouldn't stand a chance against the 2 gunboats roamer and pocketscout meta I think, however it's very hard to test.
00000 because Mike won't play
GZ for everyone who won a qualifier.
Can merc demoman @ LAN
The mid-low prem has always been much worse than the best teams in prem. And because they aren't allowed to compete (for obvious reasons), you will see old teams like Suave and Serpents beating the other teams. I have no doubt that NameLess and Perilous could easily win these oldschool teams though.
I will be streaming PCMR games in my perspective @ www.twitch.tv/setlet
