RaipeGreetings.
I need help with modifying xHairCircle.
According to what I understand, by changing the value of "tall" in clientscheme.res it changes the size of the circle.
But what value do I have to change in order to increase/decrease the width of the circle?
Tall increases both height and width. It's like the point of a font.
Just come back with something new when you have developed more. You need to do more modification than just recolors for people to consider it an independent HUD. That's all. You will still have haters because everyone's taste is different, but at least you'll have something you can call your own. Jarate is right, it takes years. I've been modifying and maintaining my own HUD for 4 years and I'm still learning. Just take your time and learn the things you admit to not having figured out. You will be much more well received with your own product instead of what is still essentially someone else's.
I don't know how much reading you've done, but I'm still always referencing Doodle's guide. Start there if you haven't already.
WhiskerSevinIf I had to take a wild guess, you could either be:SevinI removed the standard quality color border from the backpack somehow, and I can't figure out how to add it back.

I shrunk the other quality color borders, but I can't find the standard one to save my life. Anyone know what it's called? The backpackitemborder entries under "Standard" in clientscheme don't appear to be it.
Anyone know?
1. Missing a quality border entry here: https://github.com/Tewgon/tf2basehud/blob/master/resource/clientscheme.res#L132
or
2. Missing one of these BackpackItemBorder entries here: https://github.com/Tewgon/tf2basehud/blob/master/resource/clientscheme.res#L3581 (down to around line 4622)
I have both.
v4.47
TF2 update hype leads to more HUD editing. The target ID's were begging for a little visibility improvement. The tournament spec HUD died long ago, I brought out the defibrillators for that broken hunk of junk. Also fixed some outstanding bugs (I think the jarate/bow clipping thing had been on my todo list for a year). Enjoy! :)
- revised target id design a bit
- cleaned up and revised tournament spec hud
- fixed jarate clipping with bow charge in centered version
- fixed scoreboard ping clipping in mvm
- fixed duplicate numbers appearing in mvm scoreboard and when switching between scoreboards via menu toggle
- fixed demo sticky charge being too high in lowered version
- applied new dropshadows to more stuff
- font/color definition cleanup
- added support + damage to 6v6 scoreboard
- removed medals from scoreboard (looks bad and not very important)
- deleted unnecessary materials

v4.46
Still waiting for matchmaking, have a 7HUD update in the meantime.
- revised pl/plr display
- darkened hp/ammo dropshadows to improve visibility
- hp/ammo dropshadows now completely disable when hp/ammo bg's active to avoid overlap
Screenshots updated.

v4.45
TF2 is slow on updates. Have a 7HUD update.
- messing around with the team select menu
- fixed "team wins in: ..." text in pd
- winpanel adjustments
- fixed killstreak counter changing position when different hud version selected
Yeah, the scoreboard stutter was there after the first patch and gone in the second. It was re-introduced after today's update. Just another Valve issue.
v4.44
Fixes for tonight's update + other stuff. Valve really fucked up winpanels, but I think I got them patched up.
- fixed progress bar glitch in rd/pd
- updated for apr. 25 patch
v4.43
Back to that gorgeous Barnblitz main menu I've missed for so long :>
- updated for apr. 11 patch (end of tough break)
perchanged every font in oxide hud to simsun, that pretty default ms font for foreign characters
