Having just finished editing all my ridiculous hours of footage from i52 and releasing them on youtube, I thought I'd share a link and more importantly ask whether I should do something similar for i55?

People tried ESL and didn't enjoy it because of the client. Shoulda stuck with it really but that whol era was a strange time for EU tf2 anyway what with the cinnamon unlock shit and darn leading all the top players to strike, the push for medlocks and vanilla and no change etc.
No, your point was that if you perform badly at every LAN you're not a LAN player. You could be the worst player in the top 4 teams and still be better than any other pick from invite. It doesn't make sense, although in practise doesn't apply here, it's just terrible logic.

Ascent originally decided they didn't wanna play due to euro ping. Then I changed the rules slightly to make it a bit better for the American teams and I think they were considering it, but it's still a big disadvantage.
To be honest if anyone who lives in the mainland has any idea of a venue that would be appropriate that would be a huge surprise. That's always the first stumbling block.

DilusiveI am being asked by some to start EU Wednesday 1 hour earlier and by others to start 1 hour later. I can't get a grasp on what is most desired. I have already reduced timing between bracket rounds by 20 minutes. Anyone care to weigh in?
I believe as it currently is we start at 18 CET. If I push it back by 1 hour (19 CET) we can better accommodate for standard WET work hours. But that makes the end time a bit later.
I think with the 20 minute reduction between bracket rounds we should be alright to push back start time by an hour.
The reasoning for pushing it back is that only 2 teams are affected by the final being late, and they're both dedicated anyway. They're so close to winning it wouldn't make sense to back out then, and nobody will avoid signing up on the chance they make it to the final. Whereas if it starts too early people just can't make it, and it affects 96 people.

I get why it was banned on etf2l, but why i55? Teams have enough time to test it out.
To be fair they haven't known until just now. And although it is potentially enough time to really test it out, the mechanic (it is almost universally agreed) sucks fat hairy balls.
EDIT: Oh this means it's banned for the GGG cup as well.
