Anybody know what the oldest server is in TF2? Like, I've been running a server since Jan 2010, with it now being an MGE server. But I figure there needs to be some older than mine.
So, what's the oldest active server?

viperhawkieldhas anyone tried contacting valve to advertise these things?i'm sure we have
it just boils down to the fact that these people probably pestered valve enough to get the word out
Getting Valve to promote a community event is super easy. Just email Eric Smith and ask to get the thing posted to the blog, and you'll pretty much get it on there every time. No pestering required.
The fact Duke Nukem isn't on this list bothers me. Also, there's no GoldenEye? Didn't GoldenEye 007 kinda like, you know, revolutionize the shooter genre?
You might want to make your profile public so that people can check your hours and such.
thesqrtminus1alright, it's june 5th and the promises given in the forum post have yet to be realized.
i'm a leader of a tfcl highlander team, aren't there supposed to be servers allocated for scrims, like sid said in his post? if there are i certainly haven't been notified of any.
From the about page.
"The goal is to eventually provide a truly automated service, which means that we’ll need to have one heck of a server network. Scrims, matches, competitions, beer. You name it, we’ll have a server for you to play on. Eventually. Cause like, building up a large network takes time, ya know?"
Servers are still coming. Was supposed to be up by April but I had to delay it. ETA is fall.
why is the first match on father's day?
Good question. I actually didn't realize it was father's day. I'll likely extend registration a bit as well so more teams have the chance of signing up.
where is the prize money coming from?
I've answered this at least a dozen times already. Currently it's through an investor. In the future it'll be through sponsors and advertisers.
where the hell are schedules?
where's the team matchups?
who the fuck am I even playing on june 18th?
Should go live about five days before first match.
edit: yay my team folded because people a) think that TFCL is a joke and b) are dumb and can't get along with each other. good.
It's not my fault your team died. Though if your team is indeed dead, please unready it so you don't ruin the experience of others. No one wants to get matched against a dead team.
I'd love to see a power ranking of all 40 or so teams, and see where they all place based on players and whatnot. Not just a top 5 or top 10 but everyone.
I figure there must be at least one team worse than mine, and I desperately want to see who they are.
Season 2 6v6 is now using logjam, instead of cardinal.
Next question. Should we use prolands instead of badlands?

Are you using Windows 10 by chance? Try disabling the game bar thing. When that auto-enabled for me with the creators update, all third party overlays stopped working. Even the steam overlay would glitch every so often.
Just wish it was under better circumstances.
Alright, so the maplist for 6v6 Season 2 is not yet set in stone. We may make some changes here and there depending on community feedback.
For starters, do you guys want us to include logjam or cardinal? Currently it's cardinal, though if there's demand for logjam, we can swap them around.

I mean, Open was basically said to be around $1k right? Are we looking at the same prize, or something bigger/smaller now that we merged?
Can't wait to see you there, Citric.
Alright, so since people seem to be cool with a seasonal ultiduo without prizes, I'll give it a go.
Season 3 is officially a thing, and it's ready for signups now. Kinda not going all out with this, and also going to use some newer maps outside of simply baloo. Figure if there's an actual seasonal league doing ultiduo, we may as well try to experiment with what maps work, and what maps don't.
The current S3 structure is 6 weeks, and 6 matches. Playoff is undecided, but ultimately depends on how many teams we get. Default time is Saturday at 8:00 PM Eastern. Depending on how this season goes, and how people react to the no prize thing, I might turn this into an actual seasonal structure moving forward, and maybe even introduce divisions to it. Also, there will be medals, as always.
Speaking of medals, still no major ETA on when they'll be live. Doing some final touches on them and will submit to workshop when it's done.
I'm not going to promote this very much, so its success depends entirely on the community. If you guys want seasonal ultiduo, sign up and have fun. This is really just a test to gauge its popularity.

Edit: to join, create a team, and add it to the S3 bracket. This is a manual registration bracket.
