He wasn't "Open Carry". That is typically done by having the gun in a holster and belt for all to see, hence Open Carry. It is 100% legal and also wasn't what this guy was doing that at all in this case.

Even if he did have a concealed carry permit, one of things they teach you in class is to let Police Officers know you are carrying a weapon. I was pulled over for speeding like 2 years ago and the officer asked for my license and registration. Before I did anything, I informed the officer of my weapon and my permit. I listened to every command he gave me and I was disarmed outside my car. He verified my license, gave me back my weapon and I paid my ticket.

I regret even commenting because my only intention was to objectively ask why you would physically fight police especially if you have an illegal weapon on your person.

I did not blame the victim at all, I just asked a question as to why he or anyone would have a physical altercation with police if he knew he was carrying a concealed weapon. I think it had to do with his criminal past. They were going to find the gun and send him back to jail because of it so he fought the cops and it ended badly.

Why would anyone carry a concelaed gun and then have an "altercation" with police?

I wonder if he even had a License to Carry a concealed firearm. Hopefully that part can come out at some point.

edit... After doing some reading and seeing his past criminal record, he would have never been approved for a license to carry a concealed weapon.

The commentators are giving the referee a hard time but this has been a sloppy type of match from both teams. Lots of players getting stupid fouls and he is calling everything at this point. Seems like a really difficult match to officiate but maybe its just me but he has kept control pretty well and not made any terrible bad calls at all.

He did kind of a stutter-step. I am not really up on the exact rules in soccer about penalty kicks. I know in Hockey, you cannot come to a complete stop at any moment once you have the puck on a penalty shot.

IMO, Weber is an upgrade from Subban. Subban might be better offensively but having such a huge player on defense pays for itself on the scoreboard.

I'm sad by the result but I always had faith in the long shot for the US. Either way, looking forward to the 3rd place match! Winning that will be a fine accomplishment as well. I'll be cheering for Chile because I think the US has a far better chance at defeating VEN in the 3rd place match.

Argentina is an incredible team and I hope they play Chile in the finals. That final would showcase some of the best soccer on the planet.
