I have a cpu symptom I experience on a fairly regular basis but cannot figure out what the cause might be. It does happen outside of playing TF2 occasionally but it is barely ever noticable. When playing TF2 it is most noticeable and causing problems.
This is my keyboard, I have had it for over 1 year, could be 1.5 years:

At random times, my keyboard and sometimes my mouse will freeze up for 5-15 seconds. They never both freeze up and it happens with my Keyboard way more than the mouse. I basically just sit there and wait for it to reconnect on its own. It never happens more than a few times a night but during scrims it can obviously be a real issue.
I have the mouse, keyboard and headset plugged into USB ports.
It might be unrelated but sometimes my cats run under my desk and their tails will hit my headset cord. Then my keyboard would freeze for the 5-15 seconds. I always wonder if that could be related but my headset cord is connected to the USB in the back of my tower while my keyboard is connected to the front USB port.
I know at least 1 of those USB ports are a little loose and I cannot easily reach it inside the tower.
Before I attempt to take the tower apart I was wondering if a loose USB port could cause such a problem? Any other ideas on thoughts? Thanks
