Okay I guess I lied a little. For most of scrims tonight my ping was ~130. However towards the end of the night it was ~70 (I don't remember where the server was, so i don't know if that's what my ping should've been). I'm calling my ISP tomorrow to see if there's a problem on their end, otherwise I have no idea what the problem could be.

So my ping seems to be very steady and very constant now, no matter what time of day I'm on, whether or not roommates are using the internet (including netflix), it is always between 130 and 150. Sometimes it'll drop to ~80-90, sometimes it will go as high as 180, but 90% of the time it's 130-150.
I still have no idea what the problem could be... is it possible it's something wrong within my computer (software or hardware), or do I need to see if it's a problem with my ISP?
I'd recommend posting on the UGC forums, you'll have more luck finding a team there. This website tends to be more geared towards finding a 6v6 team.
Sometimes I don't wear a hat cause it makes me harder to see me when I hide.
#7 Packet Loss: 2%, Ping: 76ms, Jitter: 28ms
#8 It's completely understandable that my ping would be higher when netflix is running, however even when it isn't running I have high ping.
I did a speedtest.net, and nothing looks out of the ordinary.
I'd recommend just sticking with DM/MGE, and newbie mixes for now. Maybe find a group of friends that like to play the comp format as well and do pugs with them. Eventually you'll feel comfortable enough to add up in pug.na.
#2, agreed, but I don't have any other option at the moment. I'd love to go wired, and upgrade, if I could.
So up until about 5 days or so ago, my ping was normal. However recently I haven't seemed to get ping below ~120, sometimes with it even spiking to like 300 or 400.
I haven't changed any settings, I'm not doing anything differently. Sometimes my roommates use the internet or watch Netflix, all on our wireless, but they haven't been doing this any more than usual. I don't have any torrents downloading, no other browser windows open, and my roommates never torrent anything.
Any idea what the problem could be, or something I could try to do to fix it?
I've considered the fact that someone may have gotten our password and is piggybacking on our internet, so I'm gonna try changing the password and see if that makes a difference.
Some teams forfeited against them too, that means fewer matches played than some teams.
Camps teles w/ me in pubs. Deserves good team.
I'm not a bad rocket jumper, so I know a little about surfing. However I can't seem to figure out surf maps (granted, I've put about 3 total minutes into trying to learn before going to a jump map). What are some really really REALLY easy surf maps out there that I could try?
Really cool guy, solid medic
Then I probably won't play in any of them (except for maybe on demo... I'm an awful demo). If you need any coaches that play on a high open team (but are probably not necessarily high open), let me know :P
