Is it plugged in?
Does the PSU have a switch on the back of it? Is the switch set to ON?
Sometimes motherboards have LEDs lit even when the computer is off, do you see anything lit up?

Get your degree, don't go to med school (since you don't want to).
Often there are options for work which you haven't considered for your degree. Talk to your advisors, professors, and classmates to see what options you may have.
Getting a decent job is MUCH easier with a college degree.

No fiber here :(
Laparoscopic procedures save you lots of recovery time (where they make a few small incisions instead of one large one, and remove it through the belly button).
You'll feel better when you wake up from surgery!
My appendix went bad and I had it taken out when I was 18, luckily it didn't rupture.
Yay for modern medicine.
Frequency is only useful if you're comparing CPUs from the same architecture. In this case each GHz of the intel chip is much more performance for each GHz of the AMD CPU. Listen to Setsul.
I'm a fan of Windows 10.
I'm not a fan of forced upgrades. For any of you on windows 7 or 8 who don't want to upgrade yet, and are annoyed by the prompts, you can use this to disable them: https://www.grc.com/never10.htm
You still can upgrade once you want to!
The source engine (or any application really) has to be programmed to spawn multiple threads and pass information to each one for processing. This isn't an easy task, but if the application supports it it's automatic.
In this case, the in game cvar tells the engine which mode to operate in; you don't need to do anything in addition to that.
I bet you the -threads launch option does nothing, and I challenge you to benchmark it if you think otherwise :) (though it would make sense that setting -threads to something less than the number of cores you have would be detrimental)
Don't set the launch option.
The in game cvar mat_queue_mode tells the engine whether to enable threading.

jerhmsMy sources here say that Browns and Clears aren't linear.
The base force profile is linear; admittedly the tactile portion is not linear (nor could it be since it's tactile...). Sorry if this seems unclear :)
I've been pretty happy with this combo for a while:
My preferences, in order:
Artifacting usually happens due to overtemp conditions when gaming, not while on the desktop. Have you updated drivers/checked temps on your current card??
It's sure easy to wait for new cards if what you have now is working properly.
Fix: DM servers should autokick people who haven't damaged an enemy within the last minute.
Side effect: shit players get kicked
