MOOSE_TheFragilemaybe I'll throw it in the GXL map pool? That would be really fun to watch, also it may give an idea of how people would play it differently
Yeah, I think it'll be very likely that I'll put it in the map pool.

I never really understood why Yukon got removed in the first place. I can see how annoying it was to push last a really long time ago, but the map has gone through a lot of necessary changes to make it really great. I absolutely love how you can play mid-fights many different ways (and even viably with a sniper).
I would say that Yukon has more balance and interesting play than some of the maps in the current rotation (Granary comes to mind). I would definitely be in favor of bringing back Yukon.
Actually, maybe I'll throw it in the GXL map pool?
TurinThe problem with sunshine is that you can get away with too many mistakes. You can wipe pushing 2nd and still end up keeping mid without much of a fight.
Other maps generally encourage punishing you appropriately for big mistakes like this, but sunshine just feels like a big DMfest without much else.
I don't agree with any of this. The first part of your post is only true if the other team wipes and only about two of your teammates survive. In that case, the other team's new spawns will get there quick enough to stop two people (but you can honestly say this about any map). However, if your team survives the fight with a good 4+ people, you will take back the mid point without much trouble.
Sunshine definitely punishes you for mistakes just as hard as other maps, maybe even harder. The only map I can think of that definitely punishes harder for mistakes is Granary.
TurinDoes that include spectators, Fragile?
I'll get back to you on this in a day or two.
wow alfa so fucking arrogant, minus fragged
If no one knew, id Software actually hired justin to make this trailer, which is really fucking awesome.
Oh wait, really? The demo comes out on Friday? That's awesome.
Right now, it seems that we've reached max capacity in the hall we rented out, so we are trying to rent out a different hall to increase the amount of room we have. Because of this, I don't think it's possible to buy a ticket right at this moment. If we get the new hall, ticket purchases will be open once again. I apologize that this is sudden, but had I known anything like this was gonna happen, I would have given more of a warning sooner. Again, please wait as we are looking to get a bigger hall.
The moment there is any kind of update on this, I will post here immediately. Do not message me about this, as I'm not gonna tell you anything different than what I've told you here. Please be patient.
Also, if you got a refund, please post in here so I can take you off the list.
sky_not gonna attend due to class schedules. Emailed info@thegxl.com for a refund but that was on monday and still no response. Can someone who helps runs the thing help me out?
If you don't get a refund by early next week, then just PM me your real name, alias, and email address that you signed up with.
I've used Spotify for many hours a day since about 3 years ago.
MunchDogs are clearly superior to cats.
you better chill
I have it, so feel free to add me.
It takes a bit to get used to, but it's a lot of fun. It's probably easier to play with a controller or a fightstick.
That was a lot of fun to cast with gecks, and I'm looking forward to possibly doing more in the future. Gecks has very talented play by play.
I can't really suggest this to most people, but I practice (as medic) by only playing scrims and matches. If I were to pug as medic, my focus would not be as good in pugs because of how casual it is. I (and/or my pug teammates) might do things that wouldn't be smart or optimal in a real match, etc. It's mostly just a thing where any time I play medic, I'm totally focused on trying as hard as I can to stay alive, manage ubers, have solid positioning, and do well. That's why I only play medic in scrims and matches. It's not an act of me being lazy or not liking TF2, I just really feel like it makes me worse to pug as a medic. However, I won't have any issues ringing for friends or another invite team, because at least it feels much more organized than a random pug.
The reason why I say that I can't suggest that to most people is that a lot of people still need to work on a lot of medic skills, which can be accomplished through pugs. Indust pugs as medic religiously, so it's not a bad thing by any means.
All of this also explains why I have only 2000 hours on the game (instead of having 5000+ like everyone else), because holy shit I get that question a lot.
Take off the side of your computer case and find out exactly what is making the noise. That will help tremendously.
