The language barrier can be bigger than you think. An example being that a lot of EU mixes tend to be people from the same nationality because they don't want to comm English. And for many of them that's their only practise in comp tf2 outside of officials/scrims (which is also often on teams that do not comm English. Many stick together even if it means not improving as fast or being limited to a small player pool to pick from)
Only reason I'm on a team this season is because I got introduced to the Dutch mix circlejerk. Not that I mind the comm language, but there was a relatively large demand for Dutch mixes which I was unaware of before. They all can comm English very well, but avoid mixing with non-dutch speaking players unless there's no other way. Very often we mix against Finnish only, Russian only, etc mixes because they'd just rather comm in their own language
funhaver1998most people speak enough to call
This is based on your experience talking to those who can, but in reality a decent chunk of players does not. You just don't notice it because they're actively avoiding having to talk English so you never get in contact with them
tl;dr (I think, OW players are braindead so it's hard to figure out their logic and i didn't go through the entire thread and just looked for the important bits)
Org has history of making sexist comments and being toxic towards female players.
One of the toxic players gets cut.
The cut player (Colluge) and a teammate (Punisher) use Punisher's alt (ellie).
They then use this alt to alternate queueing with a "girl gamer" to make it appear as if they're not toxic anymore.
They had a 17 year old girl sit next to Punisher when he played so she could talk.
That's called the Pilot crosshair. or at least that's half of it. It also comes with a vertical line that you enable seperately. A lot of the longer running HUDs have them installed in hudlayout.res like HUD crosshairs
I've never really messed around with large res VTFs. What's the limitation? Only limitation I know of is the width and length having to be a power of 2 and I've seen large resolution crosshairs before so it's probably very doable
edit: made a quick resize of a crosshair to 2048x2048. seems to work just fine https://imgur.com/a/5f70JeM

"Hi dad. Haven't seen you in a couple months. Plans for NYE already? If not, how about we go watch the fireworks again like we've been doing the past 3 years?"
"I don't know yet, son. Might have work, I can't really tell yet."
"No problem, I'll send you a text on NYE once I get out of work"
"Sure thing!"
Today, 4 hours after sending text. no reply. almost 9pm

bit late on this one. Thanks in advance :)
Quit college (for now). Not a bad thing because I feel much happier not having to deal with the stress. And I work fulltime at a place where they're already cool with me possibly switching degree if I choose to and working halftime or not at all in the future
Going to Copenhagen Games. It was the most stressful LAN I've been to (for reasons unrelated to the event itself) but seeing my friends made it all worth it. Also the final night of LAN when it was just the TF2 people staying inside the venue and yelling random shit, taking group pictures until we got kicked out was the most memorable night I've experienced in the TF2 community (Did anyone ever post the group pictures? I'm on the sniper mains' group photo)
Going from playing on a 6 year old laptop to 144 Hz in October
The "it begins" thread always brings joy to my heart
budhud has a streamer version which does this
https://github.com/rbjaxter/budhud
just take a look at the _stream_ folder and you'll find what you're looking for in the files

very sorry for taking 3 days. completely forgot to check the thread!
2 versions. I felt the greyscale hat didn't stand out enough so I made a second version with color on the hat still

Vecchey do we know if they fixed the demo being able to kill people w/ stickies thru the floor in their spawn
that was fixed 2 updates ago afaik
unless the fix didn't work ofcourse but I haven't seen it since
skyzefuzzykiIt doesn't work with some of the latest items, like the Dragon's Fury, and so on. Is there any fix for this? Any response would be helpful. Thanks.
you might be using an outdated package from before the pyro update. The Scripts folder probably does not have the tf_weapon_rocketlauncher_fireball.txt which corresponds to the dragon's fury
download a VTF pack from here. You don't need to install it in your custom, you only need it to get the right txt files out of it. Take the txt files you're missing and put them in your own scripts folder
Use this page for referencing which ones you might be missing, but I assume it'll be tf_weapon_slap.txt (Hot Hand) and tf_weapon_rocketlauncher_fireball.txt (Dragon's Fury)
