have few hours past 2 weeks bc of finals, but do play quite a bit
Is there a way to show the grapple hook lines without allowing all other particles?
Well, it's definitely possible because they do it for CS:GO weapon reskins.
I would definitely make that start button the quickplay button, but make your quickplay menu fit into the bottom left corner like the MOTD panel. It would look super sick, I think. You could move the mail button to the taskbar.
Also, I think that your quit button is too far out of the way. Maybe put the motd button where the quit button is and move the quit button to the 'desktop' with the other main icons (maybe below the loadout button).
Overall it's really creative and pretty nice looking so far.
ColdBallsI stole Collycat's genius concept and tried it on my own hud (CBHUD). I actually kinda like what it has become.

I don't like the fade on the targetid. The health/ammo fades are centered and reflected. Either make the targetid solid (my preference) or match the fade so that the center is darkest. All in all, I think that the hexagon idea is pretty neat, but I don't think I'd use it. It seems pretty distracting and it obscures a significant portion of the screen. Tinker with it and see if you can get a version that players might use in a real setting.
Finally some progress on mintHUD! Happy to show you guys the scoreboard. It's not 100% finished; I still have tweaks left, but I think it's good enough to show you all so that you can see that I haven't given up on getting it ready as soon as possible for public release.
collycatcardanWhat's up with all of these new beautiful huds that no one is releasing. Do you guys get off on blue-balling us this hard...?yea lmao
Well, I at least have an excuse. Colly, I think you really do enjoy creating super awesome stuff and then scrapping it for another something awesome.
SpannzerAs for the colour scheme, green seems to be the best colour to stick out against both red and blue since the boxes are team coloured.
White works pretty well. I agree that lime on red is hard to look at.
I'm really loving this CSGO stuff colly.
Unless they change how the stream is set up and how the footage is recorded for post-game highlights, I think we're stuck with hearing two casters voices. If they can fix that by tomorrow then that'd be great, but if they can't, I'd say just let the old footage play, and don't provide new commentary. If someone missed the huge play, then the casters' initial excitement won't be matched by some do-over in the highlights.
KhanTF2Since quite a few people have asked me about an updated version of my yahud cmyk edit, I've recently put a good amount of work into finishing it and creating options for customization.
Hud is fully updated for Love&War Update, includes Scoreboard fix, parachute icon, taunt menu and eureka effect hud.
pics/dl please?
No, sorry, the hud isn't finished yet. Although I suppose I should give another progress update.
Unfortunately I have no pictures to show this time, but for those of you wanting the hud, I have some good news. While I am slightly behind the schedule I set for myself, the hud is coming along nicely. I have done most of the non game stuff, like the store, menus, etc. My current hangups are the scoreboard, the winpanel, and the casting hud stuff.
I am working on designing my scoreboard right now because the design I created before starting work on this hud won't really work with what the hud has turned into. I've gone through 15 or so designs in the past week and half, trying to find one that I think looks good, is functional, and fits the theme I'm going for. I think I may be close to cracking that nut, in which case it'll be easy for me to get that and the winpanel resolved.
Once I get these three major elements completed, I'll likely post some pictures here to show you guys how it's coming. And when I enter into the resolution testing phase, I'll give you guys a likely release date for the hud. I know a lot of people have been asking for downloads, but I really don't want to give out a half-baked hud; I want my hud to be as good as I can make it before I give it out. So, while I appreciate the requests, I can't give out a dl link just yet.
