One time i got various invite players to tell dave_ that i was an amazing demo while his team was looking for one, so dave_ instantly added me and asked me to try out. I was biting my lip in anticipation of getting to play a trick on dave_'s team. I had heard that they had just been dicks to xH and cut him in a dick way, so i added the poor little guy and asked if there was anything i could do to make them especially angered at me. He told me that he (from time to time) would hold on pipe on granary last and that the team just hated that, i took a note on my post-it note and joined dave_'s mumble right away! The scrim had started and when i got to mid i attempted to caber an enemy scout, team dave_ did not notice, so i had to try something drastic. I asked the medic to give me a kritz, and when he did by golly i shot that krit sticky straight up in the air so high i was surprised none of the team had said anything about it. I was starting to get annoyed at the fact i could do anything retarded and they didnt mind just because some invite players said i was "the next up and coming soup". it got to the point to where we had to defend last. I had taken a look at my notes and saw xH's advice, i jumped up all the way to that fucking pipe and held up there. A team mate said something like "I dont think you should hold up there" and i said "kalkin does it all the time its alright" and the team mate said "oh, alright".

wpminnowswhy not remove them entirely
I'm on board for this. It just supports the bandwagon reddit mentality where people look at the frag count to influence their opinion.

But seriously, what part of The Witcher don't you like? I feel it's one of the few new RPGs that is actually good and comparable to the old D&D based classics.
Mainly what I didn't like is how easy and repetitive the combat is for the entire game, that plus the fairly generic fantasy setting didn't grab me. Also I don't play many RPGs for similar reasons.
Then again I bought them dirt cheap (thanks steam sales) and I would say I did indeed get my money's worth. More what my issue is with is just The Witcher being listed with something IMO much much more interesting/satisfying
I enjoy RPGs mainly for the stories and the interactivity. I still occasionally boot up Ultima VII even though that game is old as the hills because it still has more content and exploration than most games on the market today, and that game is fucking over 20 years old now.
I get the complaint about combat to an extent. The combat system doesn't have an intricate list of combos or anything, but then again that isn't standard at all for RPGs. I'm not sure if you're talking about Witcher 1 or 2, because the interactivity in the combat system is completely different between the two games, but you'll mostly be doing the same combos over and over again. For Witcher 2 I don't understand the "easy" complaint for the combat system. On launch, there was widespread discussion about the game being too hard for people to even complete the prelude/tutorial to the game. They actually had to patch in later an arena tutorial for the game so you got a more hands on experience on how to learn combat.
I thought Witcher's story and environment was unique. I could arbitrarily call it a "generic LOTR like fantasy setting" but I could do the exact same for every game in a steampunk setting, post apocalyptic setting, space setting, etc.
The same thing happens to me sometimes and I can only guess what causes it. If I change a setting in-game that is in my autoexec and then change maps or disconnect it always seems to crash me out of game. For example, my autoexec has cl_interp 0 and I change it to cl_interp 0.033 a lot of the time.
Also, if anyone is/has/or feels like they're in danger of being DDoS'ed, try running a netstat log. You then have proof of the DDoS and then can make a complaint to their ISP, authorities, etc.
spammy-It seems like everyone is repeating the same thing over and over in this thread. This turned from trying to find some sort of culprit to publicly trying to embarrass every single person that may be involved. I messaged slin to offer atleast some bit of knowledge as to what I know is going on, and kindly asked that he keep the information to himself, but use it to whatever advantage he may have, and he still posted it. I think that from this point on everything should be dealt with within some kind of privacy instead of starting some fucking hacker war where every previous hacker has to come in here and get their friends to defend them. Of course they're going to point fingers but how could you even be sure that only one of them is guilty? Making a big deal out of this is what feeds people who get a kick out of seeing the community go crazy.
I've played with you a lot in the past and you seem like a cool guy. I'm fairly sure you have nothing to do with the DDoS or any of that shit, but I don't know why you associate yourself with that group.
mim pretty sure bullet/brands/bunny/whoever else has been throwing blame around are all sitting in the same mumble right now laughing their asses off as we try to figure out which one it is
they are all shitheads leading you guys on a wild goose chase
Spammy, Bullet, and MyPocketBlows are all IRL friends I think. They all live in Mississauga or Toronto and have been lobbying together for literally years. I dunno where brands comes into play, he lives in Florida IIRC.

The Fallout 3 wasteland gets really dull to look at after a while, but the locations are fairly varied. Skyrim has some really nice scenery but every cave in Skyrim is essentially the same exact thing replicated over and over again, which is really disappointing.
The combat in both games is pretty dull IMO. VATS makes a lot less sense in an FPS/RPG than it did in an oldschool over-the-top RPG game. You don't need to use VATS and can't all the time, but the FPS portion of Fallout is fairly flat. On the other hand, Skyrim has a really straightforward "swing or block" combat system. There's spells as well, but the dual handed spell feature really doesn't add much. The RPG aspect of both games is better than the combat.
To answer the question, I don't really know. It really is just swords vs guns when you get down to it. If you're more into oldschool RPGs I would highly recommend Fallout 1 and 2 like marxist said.
The number one thing you have to keep in mind with demoman is you have two primaries that do a million damage with every shot, so make the most of it. That being said, call useful damage. Try to avoid the popular "they're all raped" and "holy shit please do something" no matter how tempting it may be.

Check out stefan's TF2 pov's on his channel. His movement is pretty absurd and you can learn a few tricks. Don't try to imitate everything he does, but it's nice to kind of analyze some of his movement and why he does it.
UPDATE: bsc is playing demo and I'm playing pocket.
potBTW it was you (DS) who called us shit for no reason after we beat you.
You seem to have a really selective memory.

Pot I don't know when you changed and became a huge arrogant dickhead when scrimming, but you are one right now. Fix it.
TheFragileMGE pretty much forced me to stop twitch aiming and use a lot more strafe aiming. After I became pretty accustomed to that, I made a mindful effort to replicate a lot of what I was doing in MGE into pugs and such.
But yeah, there's no big secret to improving your aim other than to keep practicing.
I'm really reliant on movement for hitting shots because of playing way too much MGE and I wish I wasn't. I'd say practice DM so you don't fall into the habit of playing scout v scout where you try to learn people's movement patterns instead of being able to track/flick to them.
