#7 Let's unify the ruleset in TF2 General Discussion

ozfortress starts next Sunday on the 28th with season 21

Are you also including Highlander rulesets in this discussion, they do play 5cp and koth, doubt you need to mess with ABBA(BA) on payload.

Time to get CTF rules sorted once and for all! /s

-----

TLDR: get rid of halves!

The current winlimit or windifference 5 for 5CP is fine as is BO5 or BO7 on koth
Golden Cap: unlimited time, timelimits on LAN except for the final stages of playoffs.
As long as the winlimits/-differences are made clear in the rules it's up to the organizers to pick what suits best for their tournament/matches.

#65 Danish upcoming lan? in LAN Discussion

More information about the Highlander and 6v6 Tournaments at Copenhagen Games will be announced soon, we're working on finalizing PC rental details and confirming actual prizepools numbers for both tournaments.

Tournament scheduling will allow you to participate in either or both game modes.

- LAN Event Organization is Copenhagen Games
- Tournament organization and production of event coverage will be done by Esport United (like ESU Community Rumble).
- The following twitch channels have been provided to broadcast the event on:

Update: More information in the main Copenhagen Games 2018 thread

#44 Danish upcoming lan? in LAN Discussion

It honestly keeps surprising me how the 6s community thinks they are the only game mode entitled to a LAN.

Same with RGL and Ultiduo, if people are willing to put in money they get to say how many players per team need to show up. If that happens to involve an actual LAN space as a player you can show up an play for the money and bitch on the forums but you're not the one with the money and don't get to decide what happens with it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Also, less teams => bigger chance of winning and a bigger cut of the prizepool, right?

#4949 HUD editing: short questions, quick answers in Customization
TwiiKuuIs it possible to change the order by which the scoreboard, the spec gui, the f4 ready up and the casual/comp top-of-hud lists are sorted? Preferably all by user ID?

Tournament UI - SpectatorTournamentGUI.res
- Sorting is class based (scout -> spy), but can be inverted with delta_x and delta_y

Matchmaking (Casual/Ranked) - HudMatchStatus.res
- Based on when you joined the server (?), can not be controlled except for min/max width of the panels

Readying up (MvM/readymode 2) - HudTournament.res
- Sorting based on when you joined the server, can be inverted with delta_x(_comp) and delta_y(_comp)

Scoreboard - (MvM)Scoreboard.res
- Sorting based on points of the players

#4849 HUD editing: short questions, quick answers in Customization
Sportcacusdoes anyone know how to restore the original backpack icon borders? i can't get rid of them through the toonhud editor without uninstalling the whole thing, heres how it currently looks http://files.gamebanana.com/img/ss/guis/56ca35f517899.jpg i want it to look like the default one

You have to edit almost every BackpackBorder declared in the clientscheme.res

Take a look at WietHUD's weapon skins and regular backpack border overrides to make them a single color instead of just the outline for the majority if not all of the border names you would have to edit.

In addition to that: showschemevisualizer clientscheme in console allows you to see borders/fonts/colors which have been defined in the clientscheme for a nifty overview.

#3 Game Crash on Map Change in TF2 General Discussion

You're not the first one to ask

Remove custom hud, see if it you still crash, if not, remove resource/ui/mainmenuoverride.res and resource/gamemenu.res or update your hud.

#4840 HUD editing: short questions, quick answers in Customization
Vivihow do I make my m0rehud look like this: https://prntscr.com/hi0tgj

Update your hud? That should have the new main menu

wondering also how to remove killstreaks at the top of my screen such as "killing spree" and "god-like"
cl_hud_killstreak_display_time 0 // Disable display and sound of killstreak notifications
and finally how to change on m0rehud when I have low health / have a buff to have my health look like this
https://prntscr.com/hi0tzu

that's done with hudanimations in the HudHealthBonusPulse and HudHealthDyingPulse events.

------------------

radb1tsorry for asking so many questions, but how do you get rid of the black background here? https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/361297448238579723/386460931174957057/unknown.png

#4837 HUD editing: short questions, quick answers in Customization

@martinhrt, it's the borders in ClientScheme.res which get a different image defined, the CX has an override/custom image where the right half of the image is transparent, so it looks nice in the playerpanels in HudTournament.res (also blue/red should be inconsistent there) where that same image is also in blue available for CMYK.

Borders to look at: TFFatLineBorderBlueBG & TFFatLineBorderRedBG and the images they reference.

#2 how do i stop executing people's configs in Q/A Help

Lock all variables after setting them yourself:

alias locked "" // empty alias

r_drawviewmodel 1 // Enable viewmodels
alias r_drawviewmodel locked // Lock changing viewmodels

Repeat for crosshair settings, viewmodel_fov, fov_override, min viewmodels, volume and whatever else you think shouldn't change.
