#33: I have the exact same wooden chess board, but I attached a handle to it so it's more portable :)

Because I'm too lazy to come up with good playlists.
Joining just to lower the average ELO of the group to a more respectable level :3
I was my school's first board back in high school. chess.com username Xplayer1 If you play me in blitz I am GUARANTEED to screw up at the last second or lose on time.
I still play the equivalent of chess MGE sometimes though

There should be a guide on how to get started in competitive on this site. How to use IRC, how to use mumble, developer console, etc.

Both near the top when searching YouTube for "how to play in a tf2 pug"
And someone posted the other day Shwan's IRC tutorial
I'm not sure about the Australian scene, but here's my result for looking at the first page of the NA recruiting forums for 6v6
Medic = 7 threads
Roamer = 3 threads
Demo = 2 threads
Pocket = 2 threads
Scout = 6 threads
Small sample size, but I can confirm as a former team leader that scout is in more demand than you'd think. There's a couple reasons
1. There are 2 scouts on a team. Even though there are also 2 soldiers there is only one of each "role" (roamer and pocket). On the other hand, there's rarely a distinction between "agro" and "passive" scout in recruiting.
2. The other classes are a little easier to shift around. Many demomen make good soldiers and vice-versa. There are pockets who make good medics since they understand the dynamics of the combo. It's harder to shift scouts to other classes and vice-versa.
As others have said, good medics are rare and few people want to play the class in 6v6 to begin with so obviously there's going to be a lot of demand for them.
My school sells a sandwich called the Pablo, Turkey and Ham with garlic spread and your choice of toppings and baked in a toaster oven. I usually just go with the standard lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo but it's really the Turkey ham and garlic spread that make the sandwich.
A similar thing happened to our team in Iron summer season (I don't know what we expected when moving down from steel and facing another 0-2 Iron team). They used in game comms and decided to trash talk over text chat after the match was over (why you trash talk a team who just stomped you is beyond me). I decided to turn alltalk on so that they could get a piece of our mind and after the match was over then they filed a report that we were cheating by listening in on their comms. Fun times.
ScarabKilling gloves of boxing for heavy aren't there
Are they unbanned still?
I think that's what the "regular gloves" are (unless he means the Apoco Fists).
It's like timing a reflect as pyro. You have to know when a soldier wants to shoot a rocket at you and react quickly once he does. 90% of rocket surfing is the timing. If you can, go with a friend on an empty server and have him shoot rockets at your feet until you get used to how quickly you have to crouch jump once you see the rocket.
atmometrici'll just leave this herehttp://120hz.net/showthread.php?328-Hanns-G-HS233-120-Hz-monitor-Occasional-screen-tearing-ripple
He sent it back, and they sent him another one with the exact same issue.
I have one of these and haven't experienced any issues. It's a shame they're discontinued.
EdgeInterested to see whether Borneo receives a good response, surely can't be worse than Waste.
Honestly I didn't think Waste was that bad. In fact, I think the preseason gives a good opportunity to play optional, league sponsored scrims on maps that would otherwise remain unplayed. I thought waste was a pretty fun cp map with an unnecessary payload cart. It also allowed me to weed out some of my roster by seeing who would actually show up when they were told to.
As for seeding, in the end, all the good teams will float to the top and make playoffs. If a team is any good, they'll have to face the good teams eventually by the very nature of how UGC schedules, so why should it matter to good teams whether they face other good teams week 1 or week 7? They're only going to play each other once during the regular season anyway.
I'm pretty sure a 650 ti boost or better will get you 120 FPS on TF2 easily.
Also, this should give you ideas of what you're looking for with your budget.
Personally, I can vouch for the GTX 760. I get easily 120 FPS on TF2 even on really busy servers and good frames on Ultra for pretty much every game I've tried.
Andy's build is a good place to start if you're willing to spend that kind of money (assuming you already have the 120 hz monitor that you want, which will add at least another $250). I'd consider putting an SSD in it though if not just for the OS operations.
Came for the TF2 stayed for all the songs. You guys earned my $5. Great songs!
