MidnightMickHiipFireDefinitely agree with my latest casts being quite lackluster, have spoke a lot with people about the prem winners finals cast in particular, but I'd appreciate any feedback on my casting in that match or just in general
IMO you need to add a bit of excitement in your voice as least for the viewers. I'm mean, you enjoy casting right, express it. :)
this is a problem with all the casters tbh
kaidus after losing to a officials only team that had 2 mercs:

thesqrtminus1i try to track but most of the time i end up flicking
try using your arm to aim instead of your wrist
for very consistent hitscan aim, use your arm as a pivot to aim and pretty much keep your wrist still in a kind of tracking style
you should probably open up the roof of mid (like process last). it's a very low ceiling which makes it bad for soldiers and is very 'straight' i guess? so sniper is probably extremely good at mid, very long sightlines and also no props for scouts so i think you should definitely change the mid up a lot.
There needs to be a big change if you want to try and prevent stalemate gameplay (change of gamemode, ban certain influential/stalematey weapons) but I'm pretty sure the community won't accept even testing of changes. I remember when the crossbow was banned in the etf2l whitelist cup and people were actually complaining on the etf2l forums about the xbow being banned even though it was just a test run.
nuzeIt's really not that difficult if you were to teach people from the ground up, but the problem is that playing that style has a few very important differences to the current meta. There are a lot of habits that players of today's meta have that are in direct conflict with how the epsilon style works, and it becomes very hard to break those habits unless you have open minded adaptable players.
When we first started practicing for GA, there were many times where in stalemates we would get a pick, and papi would take the initiative to go and sac for the medic, but losing a player there is the opposite of what should happen in the aggressive playstyle, but it's become the norm so that's what people instinctively do (a big gripe I have with today's meta is it devalues the lives of flank classes). It took a while and some minor disagreements before we actually started making headway - a massive reason that it actually worked was that I was calling with 5 gamers that all had great attitudes and were willing to try something new, but that is not a common team structure.
Edit: I'd also say the reason I tend to call it the froyo style is that, despite epsilon being great at pushing every small advantage, froyo is more directly applicable because they do it with the demo being a low heal supportive role, whereas epsilon had the demo as the high heal carry role - this is ridiculously hard to do properly at a top prem/invite level after all the nerfs/buffs unless you have termo dm
Perhaps you should go into more depth and make an episode of in depth tf2 about this playstyle
5unnyI'm a basement iron player so take this with a grain of salt, but most esea matches are fairly entertaining and the stalemates aren't usually longer than 3-4 minutes, and it seems that a lot of the stalemates that happen are in etf2l. Some people have suggested changes to the rule set, why not try that rule set that was supposed to happen at ESA? The on that was like two 20 minute halves and first to three or something? I don't know if this would fix it, but its at least attempting change.
i think it's more of a playstyle thing than a ruleset problem. imagine how much more stalemating there would be if the games were one hour long...
GentlemanJonCompetitive TF2 has other problems.
so we cant fix one problem because there are other problems too? just because problem 2 is bigger, doesn't make problem 1 smaller
GazJust ban the crossbow and you can finally push off damage again because the medics cant just heal everyone to full health in a matter of seconds.
I would really like this to happen, just in the next preseason cup or in pugchamp for a week/weekend
