vibeisveryotrippathe real problem is still using prec in 2021 when it has 0 advantages over the ingame demo recording commands that were introduced like 5 years ago (and dont require a plugin!)
idk i quite like knowing what map my demos are from
Fair enough, but if you manage to mess up prec, there's no excuse to not use this as a back up. Esp if you've been warned multiple times over multiple weeks to submit pov demos
messiahtrippathe real problem is still using prec in 2021 when it has 0 advantages over the ingame demo recording commands that were introduced like 5 years ago (and dont require a plugin!)that requires setting it up. where as for prec i can just drop that motha fuckin folder in my custom folder and be done with it
its literally just one drop-down option in advanced settings
rgl bad

amazing retheme! such a nice vibe
go zanda!!!! <3
I know RGLs rules arent too far off of other leagues, but that doesnt mean the rules cannot be improved. Plus shitting on RGL is easy upfrags and no cares about UGC on this site
I also think its fair for a NA league to only want NA teams in abstract. But in this case I wish NA leagues would be a bit more receptive to allowing SA teams considering how poorly SA leagues are run and how minimal the impact of having a server-wide "high", but stable ping for all players. Its not ideal, but so be it...
I hate having to play against non central NA teams (purely latency wise), but I still think its fair to allow them to play
ArieI think this is a common misconception, the high ping of one (or even most) other players won't affect your experience by itself. John Carmack got it mostly right back in 1996.
The "teleporting timmy" example is way more annoying for other players, but a ping limit doesn't fix that.
I agree that it is a minor issue, and the timmy example is definitely worse. I think there is still a point to be made that having everyone on similar and minimal latency is important. I am not siding with RGL, but I agree with the core concept.
Maybe my csgo escapade has polarized my view, but having a relatively fair playing field ping wise is critical. Even million dollar CSGO tournament organizers cant get this shit straight, so its hard to expect better from the TF2 scene, but RGL definitely arent making the right steps to fix any of these issues IMHO.
again, I dont agree with RGLs rules and I am sad to see so many players/teams being exiled for arbitrary reasons
falling asleep with a cat at the foot of your bed and waking up to see the cat slept all night there
fuck im lonely lmao
Id like to say I understand where RGL is coming from (as any one persons poor connection can effect everyone elses experience), but it feels like they are causing more problems then they are trying to solve (assuming good intent).
The wording is even more confusing/saddening, why are you limiting the maximum percent of a ROSTER to some arbitrary "central" server. Can a EU team have just enough NA players roster-ed to bypass this rule?
I can kinda get behind a rule along the lines of "if you cannot get half (3 players) of your team to have less than 100 ping in any na.serverme.tf server, you forfeit the match", but Im not sure it would be much help anyways. There has to be a better rule set than this if these "outsiders" are really impacting ur league. The tf2 comp community is too small to be trimming out teams for such a small gain, but maybe wrong...

even if you think TF-tubers are cringe, this is a great charity
Ive had issues with windows updating in the background. Usually it just effects my ping, but a few times it has caused TF2 to stutter (even if it wasnt using much of my cpu or gpu). Something to look into, esp if it happens around the same time a day.
Fap, nap, and house trap playlist.
DubThinkI wanted the most compact 104-key I could get, couldn't find any good options, so I made my own. Lefthand numpad is objectively superior for RH mouse users and I will die on that hill - not sure why there aren't more options for it out there.
Agreed! Thought about getting a 75% layout and a separate numpad to put on the left, still havent pulled the trigger tho
