Hello!
I've made a similar thread over at ozfortress, however I don't want to exclude any of you guys from the discussion/force you to make an account to post so I figured I'd post it up here too.
As this forum has a character limit I can't just directly cross post the full document into here, so I'll just have to drop a link and hope those of you who are interested have a quick skim:

Over the course of the past 7 weeks our intention has been to make it to i49, plan A was to represent our sponsors, and plan B has always been to attempt to compete as an Australian community team. For those of you who don't follow the ozfortress scene we have been the dominant team since the end of 2009, finishing first in every tournament following a runners-up performance in our very first appearance.
The reason for this post is to gauge community interest in a fundraising drive, not only with respect to potential donators but also the expectations of the community at large. We really want to know what you as the community are interested in seeing from us - whether its through donator perks or community threshold benefits. In the document we've provided a few general options, however we think it will be much more beneficial to open it up to the community's interests :)
Yuki has mentioned regularly that our intention is to have a modest target through fundraising, and while the maximum threshold for the drive is set at a comparable figure to the NA drive, as a team we're willing to put up our own funds to guarantee attendance if we can get over the $5k mark from donations - and as a means of balancing out community interests and our own if the total progresses far beyond this we're planning to donate a % (scale not yet determined) of any winnings to charity (e.g. for every $1000 over $5k we'll donate 20%)
tl;dr We're looking to run a fundraiser and would like to know what you as the community would like to see as perks/community threshold benefits. Check out the linked google document for a structured breakdown/more info/some examples of perks!
Thanks
aporia :)
Edit: oh yeah! If you're interested in donating (any amount is humbly appreciated) drop a comment in this thread/send me a pm/contact me on steam - purely for indicative purposes <3
