Aiming with the touchscreen on the Nintendo DS in first person shooters like Brothers in Arms was actually pretty comfortable - it looks like this is similar.

If only they weren't published on such an eyesore of a website :(
Break it up with watching higher level players' demos. That should give you some decent reference points.
All Blacks got this
cheers for the cast fellas
I've been playing TF2 with ipz for two years in casual settings and he's always been nice enough to me. The pressure of competition brings things out of people that they might never do otherwise.
Wow you guys are really desperate to cast a game.

brownymasteratmoIf you add a signature or public tracker of +/- frags people are less likely to use it vindictively, I expect. Much like with vBulletin etc.I think the opposite will happen and people will be more likely to -frag someone in the negative. Terrible idea.
I think it would be fun. What's a greater social impetus, the desire to bandwagon or the desire to not be seen on the bandwagon?
I've never played Half-Life, it's too scary :(

I would like to be able to disable both left and/or right sidebars entirely.
MerchantMaybe, going back to the 2.50 example, enigma is able to use the fact that 400 people are willing to pay for something they enjoy to entice advertisers.
Actually the TF2 community has demonstrated this many times already. All of the i46/i49 fundraising, as well as donations to streamers for demo reviews etc.
trogbrownymasterI don't get how adding something can improve performance, and I doubt that adding an extra query will be non-existent. A small performance hit could be .05 seconds, could be .2 seconds who knows (I haven't myself made a benchmark for this scale a website, but obviously it's going to add a few fractions of a second at the very least). There would still be a performance hit. Also, I'm pretty sure this is run on a VPS. Depending on the capabilities and limits of enigma's provider (I think it's linode, and he's using cloudflare to help distribute), it could be worse than it should be.It takes longer than 0.2 seconds to scroll through posts and find the last one you read. I think you're putting a bit too much importance on page load times considering users don't just want to open the page, they want to get to the new posts as well.
If you factor in the time saved by not having to scan posts or load multiple pages to find where you left off, the performance hit would have to be pretty ridiculous for it to not be worth it.
Heh, yeah. We're all conditioned by FPS gaming to consider latency the devil, (can't get those twitch post-edits and flick +frags with these page render times...), but there are so many factors at play here that it seems a bit excessive to focus so much on this one quantity.
read DDK, you must
