dummyIt came down to a team vote
As far as I know, the team vote hes referring to was not regarding whether or not to cut brad, but more-so a team vote whether they should continue on without him, and they have apparently decided not to.
Its been brought up a lot, but ESEA has a rule that says they can basically disregard the other rules if its in the best interest of fairness and sportsmanship (I think this mostly applies to invite). There have been several situations in the past where the rule has been applied to reschedules, so why not now? I see it as a complicated situation, so always treating the rules as black and white is pretty silly. The watch this guys did make some mistakes (paying with eChecks hours before their matches, brad leaving the roster... probably the worst decisions you could make) so I think ESEA is going to hold that over their heads and pretend that they are completely innocent here. Bottom line though, If ESEA cared about the survival of the teams and sustaining competition in their league they should be willing to make exceptions. Say every single invite team was in favor of allowing a match to be rescheduled, would the admins allow it to happen?
Personally I don't want to see teams keep dying. They may be my competition but I care more about there being good teams. Simply put, close, unpredictable matches and seasons are what make the league interesting. I was very worried with the numbers of returning invite players this season and after this, invite could turn into joke. At the start of the season I tried to convince soLace not to die, and now I have spent time talking to some of the players involved in this to keep their fucking teams together. I wish the admins could at least pretend to show that they care about the survival of the teams.
I find the spawn doors being off to the side of the last point very strange. Not sure why you didn't just arrange the spawn so that it centers the point between the doors.

Pink box: You can cap the point from this ramp.
Green box: I think a staircase/ramp here would be nice.
The lighthouse is beautiful. I am curious how it will play with the point being enclosed, but you might want to play around with opening up one of those windows, probably the one on the side of the point that faces last.
Bloodsire is the man for the job.
On the 2nd point there is a slight inconsistency. Red side has a ramp from the ground up to the balcony while the blue side does not. Personally I think it should not be there, as you have the blue side currently.
I think one of the things you need to consider right now is the size of the side/flank rooms between 2nd and mid. Feels like you're going for a process style with the choke in the middle and the flank rooms on each side, so I think you should take another look at process and see how the sewer and computer rooms on that map are so simple and not too big. The one that connects the crate area to the valley on 2nd looks fine in this regard, but the other side room looks just a little bit too big. One of the key things that Scorpio changed to the sewer area before the final versions was he removed all twists and turns and made it a simple room and I think that may help you there. Here's an idea to address this:

Green box: You would reduce the size of the choke point hallway to about half of what it currently is, meaning the ramps would be much steeper, almost exactly like process is now. You may be uncomfortable just ripping off process, but I think your choke point is too gradual and it makes the connection between between mid and 2nd slightly awkward.
Pink box: By shrinking the choke you would be free to remove this much space from the side room, thus shrinking and simplifying it. You could just pull all the walls closer to mid, and the connecting door closer to mid the same amount (pink arrow).
Yellow box: This is going to be a very empty space so you might want to put something small over here.
One of the main problems I have with the connection between last and 2nd is due to the underground part, it has some problematic corners which I think would promote too much back capping, but I think the pit that leads down there just looks awesome and I would love to see it be even more useful, so my idea is to make it a bit closer to the point which should simplify it and eliminate hiding corners.

So you would slide the whole pit closer to the 2nd point.

Which would move this entrance over in such a way that you could turn it into a more straightforward area with one less problematic corner. As far as I can tell this won't be much of a problem with sightlines into last either.

It would be nice if this was a bit smoother to walk up toward the point.

I think that this platform should be moved forward and it would replace the wall as the cover/barrier as the attackers enter last. I think that pushing defensive positions a bit closer to the doors helps pull the defenders away from spawn, and allow for more of a forward holding position.

A demo can sit in the spawn doors and put stickies over the wall onto the point from this position. I like that its possible for scouts/soldiers (heavies too btw) to wiggle their way over that wall onto the point though so I am not sure how to handle it, just wanted to point it out.
Sounds good, I will try to contribute. Just make sure you have the most recent versions of all the maps, as it looks like you don't have the latest warmerfront (https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/24793114/cp_warmerfront_test_b7.bsp). Not sure about the versions of the other maps though.
HazSwagDoes this mean if I donate 10 dollars I get all three perks or just one?
You will get all three. So your $10 donation would get you mentoring and signed weapons and the premium code if you wish, plus you will be entered into the raffles and have your name in the i49 video.
vegurcan you explain mentoring? is it like a demo review?
Mentoring can include a lot of things, but yes, the most common methods of mentoring are things like demo reviews and Q&A. We will try to help you in what ever way works best for you, to the point that you feel that you got something worthwhile. It won't be "one-and-done." We will be juggling a lot of mentees so some patience is also appreciated if you do donate.
nerkulI haven't heard anything about the i49 donation bonuses yet. Has this happened already?
I think the process has started but I am not in charge of that. It was organized by TFTV (mana, enigma, etc.) so they have that info.
vegurif i donate, do i get one or two signed weapons?
also what is roundtable raffle?
You can have as many signed weapons as you want, and to clarify you will have to provide the gift wrap and items.
The roundtable raffle is related to a stream event that shade is planning where he will be giving away some things such as steam games and TF2 items.
rr-Why do they always wait till the very last minute, promise all these people these things... and most of the time don't even carry it out to the end.
We email every single person that donates to us and add them to steam to work out getting them what we promised. Last season we had over 2 dozen people donate to our team, yet only about half of them replied to the emails I sent out, and even fewer were interested in any mentoring whatsoever. If someone feels like they haven't gotten what they expected from donating to us, please post and let me know and I will look into it.
rr-I'm not sure why you guys (HRG) and Tri Hards too, didn't do anything for donations throughout the season.
You and everyone else who said this is completely right. We will have to handle it differently in the future. Unfortunately it's too late now, but we have learned our lesson.
I didn't realize this was during ESEA LAN so we will probably have to drop out.
defyand i'm just curious as to why it wasn't banned until the season was over just like every other season in ESEA when new unlocks were introduced or current ones were altered in a huge way
I think this is what you should be focusing on. It's like a completely new weapon now and should be reevaluated during the off season. The same thing happened with the Crit-a-cola after it was buffed.
I've always wanted to play it, though I don't have a WiiU :( . Coincidentally I asked tagg about it earlier today too:
HRG b4nny: are u going to play earthbound on Wii U?
HRG b4nny: i hear its a good classic game
HRG tagg@work: nah
HRG tagg@work: i dont play that many turn based rpg games
