Absolutely pointless to change a map that plays well so that the rollout is flashy. Focus on the other changes plz.
Unfortunately I can't really put my finger on anything that desperately needs to be changed at this point. Overall the map has kind of a weird feel to it, it's different, but after getting more experienced with it, I feel like it plays well. The changes you are suggesting seem unnecessary to me. Backcaps were not really an issue on the map. Pushing out of last is also fairly difficult (like any map) but that underpass at least gave a high risk high reward flank route to open up a push or go for a crucial defense breaking pick. From the defensive perspective, it wasn't really that difficult to cover either, it only takes one person to watch it really, whether its completely open or closed like you are suggesting changing it to. I can see why it is appealing for simplification reasons, but in the end I think the map will feel less dynamic if that passage is removed.
Incredible article, you're the best Buttsire.
I just landed and I could use a ride if anyone is swinging by the airport tonight and has room for one more.
I just got my ticket. If teams haven't all been established at this point, I'm planning to make a pug team for the tourney with Lauren and Bdonski, so we'll need scouts and a roamer (but we can probably off class if you're really good at something else). Who's looking?
Coalplant was updated, at least check out b7 before you vote for it. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/3492731/Ashville/koth_coalplant_b7.bsp
Id want to remove granary but I don't think there are any good replacements at the moment.
I'll be doing my best to help Lauren and the rest of the team out for their first season in Open. If you end up joining look forward to a season of learning and improvement.
I was about to post that.
Last needs at least 3 entrances. Maybe try to work one in over here:

The 2nd point basically only has 2 entrances as well. It is also at a height disadvantage compared to yard that reminds me a lot of freight 2nd. I think you might want try opening up the 2nd point and maybe connecting it to yard more. You could play around with removing/opening up parts of this wall more:

I echo the complaint that the crane really limits soldiers entering mid. I think you could keep it, just move it to the other side of mid, maybe raised on the upper platform. I also think your mid might need another entrance, which could go right under the crane if you decide to move it:

Your map is littered with gaps and cracks that will infuriate people playing projectile classes because they can negate splash damage. I'd suggest closing these gaps or making them not block projectiles. May not seem obvious to you, but this should be a high priority to fix. Ex:
Disengage sounds like oPlaiD.
I have a high sensitivity as well (5.1"/360, slightly slower than yours) and I do about 99% of my mouse movements with my wrist so I could never use all the space of a huge pad like the Talent (19" x 14"), especially not the vertical space because I plant my wrist pretty hard and it doesn't move up and down all that much. Instead I went with the Puretrak Stealth, (15" x 10") which has plenty of horizontal space for a fast sens and enough vertical space without being enormous. It is also the exact same material, and obviously a little cheaper. The other thing is I like having my monitor a bit closer to the edge of my desk so it fits perfectly. Shoutout to mackey for showing me the Stealth all those years ago.
