a friend of mine needs help with hit registration
on numerous hitscan classes, he's been noticing sniper/scattergun shots not registering properly.
he used sv_showlagcompensation 1 on tr_walkway and discovered that the shots are leaving a hitbox, but aren't taking damage if bots are moving laterally. he says headshots still land when bots are moving directly at him
he uses chris config w/ good connection settings
and he told me this happens in localhost and with other players
i've run out of potential solutions bc i don't know a whole lot about tf2 netcode, but i wanna help the best i can
DocFlameHey
I want my damage number to keep stacking for longer than 1 second (some players have it on 4-5 seconds)
for it to stack over 70-80 damage rockets
Thanks
use this command: hud_combattext_batching_window <number>
dishsoaphi i still need help with my hud issue pls and thank u
you've checked hudmatchstatus.res and hubobjectivetimepanel.res, right?
check all visible/enabled parameters in those two files
- squash the beef with those i have history with
- eliminate negative aspects of my attitude
- handle my own ego better
all of which go hand in hand
final edit: after much tweaking, i found that using m_mousespeed 1 makes my aim feel like it did before
Disabling m_mousespeed and removing m_customaccel commands showed massive progress regarding the issue. Doesn't feel 100% the same compared with before, but it could just be myself not re-adjusting. I'll probably grab some m_ commands from my CS:GO config to restore my TF2 aim to its natural state. Thanks for your help :)
nvidia geforce experience messed up my config so i reinstalled my 7 month-old one from dropbox, now my tf2 mouse movement feels much more slippery.
my sens is the exact same, my dpi hasn't changed, all mouse settings are what they were before.
what's causing this?
starting in March: landed job after months of unemployment
bought my own PC + 144 hz monitor
bought nearly everything i've wanted
got a nice new car
i'm owning in college
also i'm entering 2019 with lots of stamina to improve myself as a person :D
random crits still not removed
ffs tf2 devs please just listen to us
marc_which file changes the look of the taunt panel.
HudMenuTauntSelection.res
it's really well-made and i give props to the devs to how well they did on first release. though the main issue with the mode lies in its pacing; ammo baskets don't give very much ammo and it's difficult to find a good primary, so it creates a lot of weird pistol/fist fights
wthink we've had this conversation before chief, try using the tftv mobile app or mayb adblock
I'll use tftv mobile from time to time, it looks pretty nice. Sucks that logging in isn't an option yet.
