newb is my boy
haven't played with him in forever but he's always been chill and fun to be around in mumble
xiaobiI'm having a hard time understanding that out of all the locations you can play games in, you play ESEA matches lying down in your bed with a wireless mouse!? Maybe your mattress is made of concrete!?
mousepads are a thing
not sure how many times it has to happen before people will figure this out but getting overly defensive and trying to refute any criticism doesn't help your cause
the whole point of an lft thread is to get feedback, so even if it isn't necessarily true/accurate, trying to deny any negative comments is pointless
arguing with people (especially about shit like mge) just makes you look like an idiot/somebody who can't take criticism
also you shouldn't be surprised that shit talking people in a video game might give people bad first impression and come back to bite you on a video game forum
edit: uni basically said the same thing above, didnt refresh my phone
retrograde??? what i said still applies man, even if you do play 6v6 you still want ugc and not esea, please go back to my post
you dont have to start in ugc, it's called open for a reason
though most people end up playing in ugc prior to open, that's not to say we as a community should discourage new players from trying esea
SpaceCadetSpaceCadetLet me drop some knowledge in this thread to erase myths. My own parents told me when I was younger about playing video games with the lights off and how it is bad. My parents and yours are wrong again.
I manage one of the top rated Ophthalmology (eyes) institutes in the county. Seeing this thread, I asked 2 of our top doctors about playing video games with lights on or off. They both assured me, it is no negative effect at all on your eye sight in any way if with lights are on or off.
Have fun in the dark gamers.I'd love to believe that but, let's just say I'm a tiny bit skepticalI don't imagine that it would cause any long term damage to your eyes but from my personal experience, especially with bright monitors
What are you skeptical about? My post? or the doctors opinions?
I can see how playing with the lights off wouldn't result in any long term damage to your eyes, but from my personal experience it's often uncomfortable and I can sometimes get a headache from it. I think the bigger 'risk' (if you want to call it that) would be that looking at the screen in the dark exposes you to a lot of blue light at night which can limit the amount of melatonin your body naturally produces which can make it harder to fall asleep. Using a program like flux to limit the amount of blue light that your monitor is emitting can help, but I've found that even with flux turned off, having another source of light that isn't a computer screen helps negate the effect
colbchella '012 never forget
maybe it's a sign
Though I've tried it out myself a little bit I really don't think it's a good idea to 'recommend' software that you haven't even ever used. It's not a bad program by any means but it seems really silly as you give no other reasoning to use it other than: the fact that the normal version is expensive and that your friend uses it. Especially given that the default path of 95% of the tf2 editing community is torrenting vegas/ae and learning how to use them, it seems silly not to even give any advantages/reasons to switch to resolve. I don't know much about the program itself but from what I know it's mainly used for color grading, and as many seem to be satisfied by slightly modified magic bullet looks presets I'm unsure how useful it would be for most people. That being said, I could be wrong and it could very well be helpful for some people.
I've only once ever played against connor back in s17 (he had some big spy plays) but from pugging with him recently, he seems to have improved both mechanically and gamesense wise. Though there may not be any legitimate conclusions to be drawn from the fat solo ubers he repeatedly exhibits in pugs, I can say for sure that he's a fun guy to be around. He has a good sense of humor and tends brings positivity to the mumble atmosphere, all around solid player of video games.
will the legendary baller vLadmir be attending?
tetrominoRain's team actually had a better open record going into IM than your team cloudmaker...
they also had one of the easiest schedules imaginable and lost to three teams that didn't even make playoffs (but that is not to say that cloudmaker's incessant shitposting is at all justified)
