#8 How to find real audio quality in Off Topic

iirc youtube 1080p is mp3 with 192kbps bitrate
as has been said before that is the maximum quality you can get out of it (unless of course they upped the audio bitrate for higher resolution videos like 4k)

#15 The Gun Mettle Update in TF2 General Discussion

rip

vtableflatline"Weapons dropped by killed players can no longer be picked up for ammo. Killed players will now also drop a medium ammo box.
I guess this means you can't move dropped weapons with explosives anymore.

#5 schy lft scout ESEA S20 in Recruitment (looking for team)

I enjoyed playing with him for the last week of matches, he's a super chill guy and good gamer. He has solid scout dm and good comms from what I've seen. He's a pretty smart player and should improve a lot with a good team to play with.

#1 TF.TV Civ V Group in Other Games

Hi, I've been having fun playing civ after getting it in the steam summer sale and I figure I'm not the only tf2 player who plays the game, so I decided to make this group.
Anyone can join and we're going to try to run some 6v6 free-for-all games at quick speed. Don't be afraid to join if you are super new to the game because a lot of us are still learning how to play and we're always open to new players. Some of us have the DLCs but you don't necessarily need to buy them if you don't want to.

If anyone is interested in joining the group, the link is below.

#16 How to improve gamesense? in Q/A Help

play pugs/dm/scrims/matches instead of mge because it sounds like you play it too much and it probably puts you in a DM focused mentality (instead of focusing on the strategy of the game which is what you want). Like some newer roamers (such as a certain individual whose name rhymes with Leon), you may also think that you need to consistently make huge plays, win 1v1s on flank, etc. Though this is clearly more fun than simply playing on flank and taking smart fights (2v1s and such), it can often get you killed and will screw over the rest of your team. The main priorities should be making sure nobody gets in through flank and forcing the enemy medic when they are pushing with advantage.
Watching demos of better players is never a bad idea, but learning from your own mistakes is sometimes easier to wrap your head around. It's definitely a good idea to ask yourself why you did something and if you die, what mistakes you made.

#7 roamer lft mid open in Recruitment (looking for team)

He will bait you in every way possible, does not know how help his team in team fights and can't bomb or kill a medic for his life. His DM is ok in 1v1 situations but his positioning is the worst I have ever seen out from anyone except for low open players. His incessant feeding is no doubt caused by his two brain cells thinking he has better DM than the entire enemy team. He not only consistently forgets to play on flank, but he will often push with the combo and suck heals out of the rest of his team. Though he can vaguely grasp the concept of watching the flank, he fails to understand object permanence and often gets killed by players he has already seen around a corner. Even disregarding his atrocious movement and ability to not get healed on rollouts, his jumps are nearly cancer-inducing. I was in disbelief when he was not even capable of doing either a sync jump or a simple pogo on a beginner jump map If he ever manages to rocket jump on a mid fight, he will no doubt jump into both of the enemy teams scouts and, if he has luck on his side, land one or two splash rockets on the medic.

Wait no that's neon not deetr, deetr's actually super nice guy and isn't bad at the game. He has good gamesense, takes criticism well, has pretty good jumps and dm, and most importantly, he has more than 2 brain cells. If deetr puts in the effort to DM and play the game more than CS, I think he could improve enough to play on a mid-high or maybe playoff team, pick him up.

#4 Best video editing software in Hardware

I like premiere/after effects but vegas is also good. IIRC in vegas it's easier to do stuff like speed ramps and some simple sound editing. It is annoying how you can't really ever have real time playback in after effects but you have a lot more power and flexibility. Premiere has pretty smooth playback because of the cuda gpu acceleration, even with multiple layers of color grading and effects it's usually fine. I would definitely watch some tutorial videos before you start trying to use AE/premiere because they are hard to get used to.

In premiere you can easily just drag and drop clips/music but figuring out how to do slow motion and fade between clips and stuff like that is more difficult

#244 TF2Pug.Me in Projects

Have you thought about making something similar to the !status command from pug.na? It could let people see how much time is left for a given pug or know if a pug is going on or not.
