Who the fuck cares about other divisions make invite not bad end of story
There seems to be a bug where the servers can't load in to new maps that were recently added, instead it simply puts it on turbine (seems to be the default map). Tried it with CP_CHAD and ultidickl_a6_b_fix.bsp and neither seemed to be on the server, despite the webpage saying so (both are also on http://fakkelbrigade.eu/maps/)
Seems others have been having this issue too: https://www.teamfortress.tv/51240/cp-chad-5cp/?page=3#bottom
tscOld: In Invite, teams will play each other twice during the regular season, with each match played as a map determined by a veto process.
New: In Invite, teams will play each other once during the regular season, with each match played as two maps determined by a veto process.
2 matches is definitely better. I don't see any reason to change the format of invite to anything different than what ESEA had, playing each team only once during the season is really lame even if each match is two maps. What makes the invite season interesting is that you get to play each team twice and face them at the beginning and the end of the season, losing against a team on two maps and never getting to rematch them (unless you happen to make playoffs) is really lame and puts too much pressure on one day. Don't see any reason to do it like this, haven't even heard of anyone suggesting it either.
tscOld: A team may only add one player per week, and a player only may switch teams once per week (but, after playing a match for a team as part of its roster, a player may not switch rosters to any other team for the remainder of the week). Team rosters are locked prior to the final weeks of the season, during which time players may only be added to a roster with admin approval.
New: A team may only make four player additions during a specified transfer window (from the start of the season to a few weeks before the end of the regular season). When adding players above the four player transfer limit, or outside of the transfer window, admin approval is required. Players may switch teams without limit, but require admin approval to switch to a team in a separate division or to be rostered on a team for the first time after the season starts.
New roster transaction rules seem okay but might want to add a rule like in ESEA preventing players from jumping ships to 3+ different rosters during the season. Also, only allowing four people to join the roster during the season might be too few. Obviously you wouldn't want an invite team to have 5 different starters from the beginning of the season, but you also have to make sure teams can roster backups/subs as well (it's important to be able to add another player to your roster as an official backup and assure you can play with them, cause otherwise the other team can simply deny whatever ringer/merc you try to get)
New: All players for a team in a match (whether they are rostered or unrostered) must not have played for another team in the same week of the regular season or round of the postseason.
This rule doesn't make much sense to me either, I get preventing someone from joining another team within 7 days of doing so (ESEA rule), but why this? If my team dies, why should I wait a week before being able to play for another team? Or if I'm playing IM roamer for a friend team and am asked to play medic for an invite team, what's the point of making me wait a week before being able to play? Seems arbitrary and pointless to me at least.
MikeMatand yall wondered why rgl was starting so early
honestly i wouldnt be surprised if it was actually intentional by sigafoo so that this exact situation would come up, they were the first by far to announce so in order to cement their lead they chose to start as soon as possible to pressure people into signing up (total scumbag move imo they should move it back at least a few weeks but they probably won't)
PhantomBad idea at this point cause u were too late. RGL starts in like 3 weeks and most people are satisfied with the changes they made to the league. and at best u will split the playerbase and kill NA
Not gonna lie, the fact that RGL starts so early is absolutely abysmal planning on their part. No idea how invite teams are going to actually get their rosters figured out as it's right after grand finals and there won't even be time to try people out. But given the fact that they actually did choose to start it when they did it's a pretty shitty situation. Having no confirmed prize pool also makes me skeptical. As much as I am inclined to think that tsc/erynn/twiiku are much more qualified to run a project like this I think it might just be too little to late.
Memes aside here's what actually happened (not sure why no one asked me, didn't realize there was even gonna be an article)
I'm going to Amsterdam for 2 months to study abroad again, not tryna play med on a laptop with povety WiFi and 150 ping (not to mention time zones which would make me play matches starting at 5am) so I told the boys I'd step down before playoffs. Had a great season together and just came off an Epic LAN Win, so there's obviously no hard feelings or beef in any way. Meyy is a super dedicated player who I always thought had mad potential and will make an excellent addition to the team, especially given his aggressive playstyle and chemistry with sandblast from playing with him on faint. I'm super excited to see what they can pull off in playoffs, the boys are gonna turn some heads for sure.
Personally I'm really bummed I won't be able to play but I decided in the spring that I would go back to Amsterdam because it was such an awesome experience last summer, and my best friend from school is going with me. Was a hard decision but I wanted to take the opportunity to do so because it would probably be my last chance as next year is my last of college.
Unfortunately because RGL seems to be scheduled to start almost right after ESEA grand finals this season in July, and I'll be in Europe till the end of August, I won't be able to play next season either. Would have loved to play with the Ford boys again but looks like I'm gonna have to take a bit of a break from TF2, which is probably a good thing in the long run so I can focus on school and real life. That said, I am hoping to go to he next RGB in the fall which is supposed to be big, so look out for a potential Ford revamp to hit the road in search for a second LAN championship....
i want him to eat a bug :( #bugz4sandblast
cat food and an egg is a good start tho

not gonna lie i got pretty triggered by the fact that on every other page it moves the 'agree' option from the left to the right and back like why not just keep it consistent so people don't accidentally do the wrong one lmao
holy laz brain :O
thank god sandblast didnt do bans for either of our matches this week so we get to play propaganda vs the only team that knows how to play that map :)
is there an easy fix for recommended net settings?
i.e., what ratio would be best for interp 0.033 (hitscan) vs 0.0152 (projectile)
edit: whoops i typo'd yea meant .0303 (30.3 lerp not 33)
meyymake the urethra a jump pad that goes to the top and im in. moving platforms are sooooo finicky and are bad for competition
Somebody needs to master the urethra...
meyyim sorry excuse me for not being informed what the fuck is a 2f2f_directional_dinosaurs
Directional Dinosaurs is quite a legendary map...

Two dinosaurs have commandeered this building in the sky. One of them is on its back spinning in place with a heavy in its mouth. If this dinosaur hits you at all, it is instant death. The other dinosaur is flying in circles with a rocket on its back. Standard king of the hill rules apply: a team must capture the control point and hold it for three minutes while preventing the enemy team from completing the same objective.
ultidickl is unironically a sick gamemode i might just play on a poverty wifi laptop with 130 ping from europe
