we've all had a laugh now Twitch time to turn it off :)
Thanks David & Setsul.
Went digging a bit more and CUDA is supported, so Nvidia isn't a problem.
Overclocking eventually. RAM was just lifted from another build guide, no real reason for it. Aiming for 8-16G, which you've probably picked up from David's build. I usually have 2 VMs running while working, and I'd like to bump them to 4GB each.
I will be calibrating the monitor, plan to do some light video editing and UI design work.
Leaning towards mATX.
Thanks for the keyboard thread too, I'll take a look at it.

First build after saving for some months, aiming for £1k including a monitor, already have a Windows license. 128GB SSD required, other specs can be lowered a bit to meet price limit. 120fps 1080p in CS:GO as a target for gaming, though I'll also be using it for OpenCL video rendering so I'd like a good GPU.
Basically just not sure about the PSU. I'll probably overclock the i5 in the future and I don't know if this is too much or too little.
Looking for keyboard & monitor suggestions too. Wired & tenkeyless, don't care for mechanical or gaming brands. 1080p minimum, 16:10 preferred, don't care for super low latency. I put in the Zalman and Dell in for a rough price estimate.
Any other comments are also welcome of course, if I've made a mistake somewhere please point it out.
I'd chip in. Your extra coverage of ESEA was pretty great, would love to see it for i52.
does 1024x768 show as an option in the video settings?
Paging Suyo, did you ever get the original code from this thread http://teamfortress.tv/thread/3562/where-can-i-contact-orange-creator-of-prec
GetawhalePretty sure it's still against ESEA rules to be on more than one team per game, and I presume? CEVO has the same rule. This is something you mostly see in UGC, etc.
Yeah, leagues only let you play on one team in that same league.
What I mean is:
Player X plays in ESEA and UGC, different team names so different tag.
Plugin looks for that player's SteamID in the database, which team tag does it use?
You could probably do a decent job figuring it out with "well these are the other teammates so it must be this team", but I can think of a few ways to break that.
Alternatively, you tell the plugin which league the match is in and it can figure it out from there, which isn't fully automatic but still miles better than the current method.
Edit: 7 minute ninja rip me
How common/rare is it to have a player on different teams in different leagues?
That's the only issue I can see with keeping a DB, other than making sure it's up to date.
It seems to work for 'recent' demos, but crashes for 'old' ones.
However, if I load a 'recent' demo then an 'old' one, it works.
'recent' meaning recorded 5 mins ago, 'old' meaning an i49 demo; I have no idea where the cut-off point is for working and broken. I guess June 11th? I dunno.
So, if it crashes for you:
- record a small demo of yourself, srfix or something
- sr_forceres
- load small demo first
- load the actual demo
This broke in the latest TF2 update, and I'm having trouble fixing it.
Resolution changes, but it crashes once you load a demo.
Contacting TF2 team shortly to see if they can help point out what they changed.
Tested CS:S, other games seem to still work for what it's worth.
and i got no response when i asked about getting it signed :'(
Icons can be 'hidden' by changing MedigunInfoRedChargeTypeIcon / MedigunInfoBluChargeTypeIcon to wide/tall "0".
As for overlaying the text, just make sure the colours are right, and maybe check zpos. It's definitely possible to do right now.
#74, are the fonts defined in ClientScheme?
Regarding the advantage labels, personally I prefer horizontal bars & no labels, but for casters it's easier to just read that label at a glance than to work it out
Check the font name in the .res file. If the font name doesn't exist it uses "Default", but not after a reload for some reason
