Still working on the update, what do you guys think of this?
Calm down everyone, the real update is coming either today or tomorrow :D
Come back at April 1, 2014 to see some amazing stuff.
crespiWill the transparent health cross also have the team-colored border available?
Sure, it's a custom texture that replaces the regular dark-grey cross.
The transparent health cross will be coming back in version 2.6 ... and it'll work on sv_pure 2!
NoonaDo you mind if I recommend/advertise this hud to the newbies from the Newbie Mixes?
Far from it! :D
paradoxI always liked the way the baseline for the font changed, will there be a way to keep the old font? Or am I going to have to keep the old font, and just switch it with the new one?
The problem is that not only the font files changed, else I'd simply include the old font files in a seperate folder :/
I finished all of the glyphs for the new numerals now:

Again, feedback is very much appreciated :)
Vipassanaare you done with the crosshair switcher hud? I remember you posting pics on reddit a while back and it looked banging
I'd have to work together closely with imp4ct, as he'd be coding it. Unfortunately we both don't have a lot of time for that kinda stuff :/
WaldoThe only problem with that is that some crosshairs have odd lengths/widths and some have even, so they don't line up right :(
To fix this, change the crosshair size - a majority of the crosshairs looks good at most sizes :)
For 2.6, I reworked the crosshair font so that HUD crosshairs will be centered without having to adjust the xpos, ypos, wide and tall values. The only thing that can't be fixed is the size issue, but I already thought about employing some slaves to note down 5 "perfect" sizes for each crosshair at each resolution, which could then be entered into the Installer's database. You'd then be able to choose sizes from 1 to 5 in the installer for a crosshair and have the size attribute automatically adjusted in hudlayout.res upon hitting the "Install" button, similar to how the alignment gets done by the installer at the moment.
GeknaiirWill there be xhair support for different resolutions in 2.6? :> The installer just makes some xhairs(like the dot) as close to the center as possible but isn't exact.
The alignment values for the installer were "hand-made" by crosshair aligning slaves, there's no algorithm behind that. If you find misplaced crosshairs, add me on Steam and report them to me so I can update the database with the correct values (though it will be rather obsolete in version 2.6, as mentioned above).
MYLES=O Just add yz50's knorwings to make things less complicated :>
Already done, I started working on version 2.6 almost 3 months ago, but had neither time nor motivation to continue working on it (till now).

frownyMy biggest gripe with the old BroeselHUD was the font and lack of custom crosshairs (I'm a lazy cunt), this is much better. Some colour would also be nice. :)
Keep up the amazing work <3
WaldoCool, so we'll be able to choose a font within the HUD
Edited my post to make this a bit clearer :)
Just wanted to announce it here too: I'll still continue working on the HUD, version 2.6 is on its way.
Here's a new set of numerals for Surface, the font used throughout the HUD:

Let me know what you think of these :)
ompompThe process is the same regardless of HUD.
No.
This is how the HUD crosshair section looks in my HUD: http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=FTHahqQi
If the OP would start to "enjoy thinking" though, he'd find out how to transfer a HUD crosshair from my HUD to another, with the guide that was posted above.
Or simply use the Installer ;)
