I'm curious to see if anyone here has any experience with this career and could offer advice or even give me a better idea of what the job actually entails. I've recently started looking into this as a career option because it seems like it would be a good fit for me in terms of taking advantage of my academic strengths, work/life balance, the pay is decent, and though I've heard mixed things about the job market, its certainly not the worst option. At least I can say I found fixing up the powerpoints and instruction manuals at my last job much more enjoyable than what I was actually there to do, which was cold-call sales. Then again, I don't think many people actually enjoy cold-calling besides the most extreme extroverts hahaha
Try stroking it and If that doesn't work try again in a little bit. The most important thing is to make sure he doesn't feel pressured.
Bandcamp is donating all of their proceeds today to the American Civil Liberties Union (https://www.aclu.org/) today so I figured it would be a good idea to compile all of the bandcamp links posted in this thread so far because now is a better time than ever to support independent artists and fellow tf2 enthusiasts.

Hey so our thing is up for pre-order and comes out on the 14th :D I decided to post this today because Bandcamp is donating their share of the proceeds to the American Civil Liberties Union (https://www.aclu.org/), so we decided that we should hop on the charity train and donate all of our proceeds to the International Rescue Committee (https://www.rescue.org/) for now until the foreseeable future (when i need to pay for esea fees/pay pankeyman back for his illuminated insight on the shadow realm beneath the systems of e-sports capitalism.)

Hi, I've never actually maincalled on a team but i love being a tryhard team leader on tf2center.com. I'm not sure what class you play but I'm going to guess pocket.
hi, i think i am sort of looking again. I would like to play scout on a mid-im team but i know its kinda late to be looking so i'll play whatever for whoever. I'm free on standard scrim nights except for tuesday where i might be able to make it back home in time for a 10est scrim/match but I can't make make any promises. For this season at least, i think i would be best suited for a team thats looking to have a good time playing esea opposed to one where the goal is to improve as much as possible. I don't mind playing open at all but i would prefer to play soldier or demo if thats going to be the case.
It's definitely not going to a party and socializing irl. I tried that last night and it was a huge mistake.

"Pffft"
"Huh?"
"Nothing I'm sorry you just reached in a weird way"
I'm never going outside again.
nope but i am now and i'm really enjoying it. thank u mustard.
There's another thread like this but its 2 years old and in another subforum so i figured i may as well make another one here. My recommendations list ended up being a skramz starterpack (the 6v6 elitist version of screamo) for the most part but there's some other stuff mixed in there too. Lately i've been trying to get more into black metal so if you have any recommendations I'd really appreciate it!
skramz(real screamo!!!lol) with a bit of a post/black metal feel sprinkled in, yet still melodic and varied in tone and energy. I saw them about a year ago at a house show and it was probably one of the most intense, intimate, and unfortunately non-sexual experiences I've ever had. If you're into some of the more extreme kinds of metal and want to a place to start from with skramz I'd recommend checking these guys out.

Here's a really fun and well executed emoviolence (i'm not joking) band. They kinda sound like the band above but more to the point and obnoxious in a good way. To get an idea of what I mean, I ordered a tape from them and they packed it with "thank you so much #dismantlehardcore" written in sharpie on a single magic the gathering card.

skramz with atmospheric post-rock elements and unique vocals, really artsy and passionate.

Really technical and frantic skramz. This album is at its best when played as a whole and has some of the most creative guitar playing and drumming I've ever heard.

Not sure how to describe them, but i guess some sort of black metal. Someone on youtube called them war metal.

jazzy piano + shrieking japanese lady + hardcore. Basically the musical equivalent of Nichijou. this song sounds kinda like system of a down (a band i feel so dumb for overlooking) but they're pretty all over the place.
